    Hi guys,

I have still had no luck getting anything out of Clode or Redten but have spoken to NJP. It has informed me that it will be offering to take over customers broadband if they so wish ie. providing the support aswell rather than just the backbone. It does mean you will be starting a new contract with NJP but as its contracts are a minimum of one month you would be able to get a MAC code after this time.

HOWEVER this doesn't mean your financial obligation to Clode will be over, you'll still be tied into that contract and would need to pursue it. If you are thinking of doing this you'll need to think carefully about the impact it might have on negotiations with Clode and you may need to write a letter stating without prejudice.

NJP will be sending out letters shortly on this.

I hope this makes sense and sorry it wasn't any better news.

This was posted to Deadten saying that kept getting errors when trying to post it to the forum
All of this is there work, unfortunately they didn't post there forum name.

Just had my offer £402 to get out, and if i accept to call prior to the 2nd May. And have just been told the only person that can deal with this is only there tomorrow between 4pm and 8pm giving only 4 hours to sort this before the deadline. What an absolute disgrace how dare they give such short deadlines when they have not responded to any piece of communication i have sent. I find this a totally unacceptable offer and more unacceptable behavior. if i stopped paying they wouldn't accept me saying im working on it be patient. looks like this is going to go on a bit longer

Looks like Clode are being VERY generous with these offers. Well done Clode :T

What colour is the sky in your world:confused::confused:

Only someone from clode could think generous, any offer to terminate a contract that requires the customer to pay for a free inducement and a service that is not fit for the intended purpose.

Generosity is the customer accepting these offers when they could very well have clode pay them considerably more in damages and legal fees.

    I havnt had an offer
wonder if i will get one, and if i do what will it be
has anybody who stopped DD's had an offer yet ?

Walber 99 - yes, I've had an offer although stopped DD. Offer is nearly £200. I can't understand how Clode can justify offering the same rebate to older customers, so we end up paying far more overall, just to get out. I am not paying and have told Clode.

    Hi Jamie,

Yes I agree, it is a good way for them to poach customers but possibly an easier way to obtain a MAC code if you're having trouble doing this.

It is a fair bet that its fast4 they are going to offer and they seem to be the outfit Redten modelled their customer relations on

How much were you paying a month, and how long left, this has to be the highest offer I've heard of.

I have been qouted £402 signed up nov07. took the pc & laptop option £24.99, to be fair I have received them. I am very very tempted to accept and be done with this NIGHTMARE!! for good, was told I would receive the MAC Code 5 to 10 days after payment was received.......trouble is I dont think I could trust them to keep there end of the bargain.....HA!! bargain....now theres a word.......
  • Hi Everyone

I've not been here for a while, was throttled by NJP for going over 15Gb back in 5th April and connection was too slow to do anything. Now back online with TalkTalk( no MAC code required).
Got an offer of £191.68 from clode tonight

This equates to a rebate of £12 per month for the remainder of your contract term. In line with the current market this is sufficient to cover the cost of an alternative broadband product from a supplier of your choice.

Where do you get unlimited broadband for £12 a month?

Declined offer and sent back a counter of £100 just to end all this crap.

Paying £24.99 a month with 31 months remaining, signed up in August but due to Redten messing everything up wasn't connected til November.
