I cant belive you guys still falling for Clodes lies and thinking that you are realy going to recive anything from clode, dont you see that they are only buying time.
I spoke to consumers direct helpline on saturday and they told me that i should write one more last letter and title it as a Final Letter and give them 7 working days to restore the full service we originaly signed up for or terminate the contract. And that i should keep payin, but tell them that i am paying in protest against my will ant that i will be claiming this money back. After 7 days i was told to take the matter to county court, this is the link:

I'm waiting for a reply to my final letter -they've got another 3 days by my reckoning - then it's the courts.:T

and all i can say is oops - lol

The total cost of additional bandwidth usage is shown below. Your current plan includes 15GB of inclusive bandwidth per month (plus any additional Bolt-Ons you may have purchased). Usage above this limit is charged at a rate of £2.00 per GigaByte or part thereof.

You have currently used 29.09 GigaBytes this month. This is calculated by adding 10.466GB of download data to 18.624GB of upload data used this month.

If you know you are going to use additional bandwidth then you can also purchase your bandwidth in advance by using the Bolt-Ons option. From there, you can purchase chunks of bandwidth from as little as £1 per GigaByte.

This must be a record - congratulations my friend! Have you been throttled or have you bought bolt ons?

The email has landed! What f'ing jokers: First of all its in my partners name and she is no Sir! We wasnt in contract for hardware equipment and broadband only broadband the hardware was free if we agreed to have redten supply us with unlimited broadband for three years which they failed to do and are no longer doing as we "escaped"!!!
Dear Sir
Account Reference: 517xxx

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience relating to the recent disruption of your Redten service.

We can confirm that the transfer of service to the new provider NJP is now complete.

We remain confident that Redten are capable of providing your broadband connection as per your contractual arrangements and we are currently working closely with them to ensure that your complaint is resolved.

However, we acknowledge that you are dissatisfied with your service and we are conscious that you may have lost faith in Redten and we therefore wish to present you with an option to settle your account at a reduced rate.

Under your agreement with us you have purchased both hardware equipment and broadband service over an agreed period however if you choose to take up the offer below the equipment will be yours to keep, the broadband service will be terminated and your account closed (and no further direct debits will be due).

Your current loan balance is £526.89 with 21 payments of £25.09 remaining due under the contract however we will accept a payment of £274.89 in full and final settlement of your account.

This equates to a rebate of £12 per month for the remainder of your contract term. In line with the current market this is sufficient to cover the cost of an alternative broadband product from a supplier of your choice.

If you do wish to accept this offer please contact our customer services on 0844 844 4700 prior to 2nd May 2008 to make a single payment by Debit Card. Please ensure you quote reference ‘Redten Offer’. Alternatively you can write to Customer Relations at the above address with a cheque for the settlement amount made payable to Clode Retail Finance.

I would stress that you are no obligation to take up this offer and if you choose not to do this the Redten will continue to provide your contracted service to the end of your contracted period and you will remain liable for the monthly loan repayments due to Clode under the existing finance agreement. shell.jpg

Please note that your finance agreement can only be cancelled by us and cannot be agreed with any other party including Redten Communications Ltd.

Yours Sincerely

• Please no one do this without seeking legal advice first. They want a out option, they are indeed taking the *ISS!

Call consumer direct first.
• I sent this email as a reply.

I do not accpet your offer. Please send me a deadlock email/letter.

What I've paid in and adding the settlement figure equates to £479.64

Ive basically offered them £60 as my offer as I reckon that by giving me the mac themselves (redten) they agreed I was free to leave the contract, the pc was free for agreeing to let them supply 3 years UNLIMITED internet - which they failed to do. The only money I agree outstanding is 21 payments at £5.10 for the printer and wireless router I added extra, So seeing as they set a precedent by offering me a lower price on what they thought was owed I would make my own offer of the amount I belive to be correct - £50 for cost of phone calls, time involved, hassle etc!
