Hi Chaps and Chapesses. I'm still here too, checking the forum daily. Still no sign of the return of my £49.99 deposit, but then many of you are in a much worse position than me, for which you have my utmost sympathy - at least after 3 months I was eventually able to bet a MAC code and get as far away from these cowboys as possible, even though it appears to have cost me 50 quid I can ill afford. Still thinking about small claims to try and get it, although I believe, as I know many of you do, that Redten has gone, or is about to go, t**s-up, and it'll just end up costing me more money that I'll never stand a chance of getting back. I really want to try though, just on principle!! OFCOM, I agree, have been toothless and useless, and my MP will be getting a letter to that effect. Why should our taxes go to pay for this enormous Quango which appears unable to enforce its' own regulations or intervene effectively in our disputes with Redten/Clode. We are clearly not just a few cranky, disgruntled customers - there are thousands of people in the same boat, many of whom will not know of this forum and be suffering on their own, frustrated and angry. This forum has really helped with advice and mutual support, and in keeping things in perspective. Thanks to you all, and I'll continue to check in regularly.

PS - great last letter Nedmundo!

I'm still here, too. As previously stated, have received e-mailed confirmation of cancellation of my finance agreement from Clode (never got PC, I think this is the difference), but haven't been able to get MAC, and obviously Redten are no longer answering their phones. Colderuk, any hints on how you managed it, if you're still around?

I just kept phoning Redten until i got through took a few weeks mind you i also harrased Clode for days and eventually they said they would get the Mac but by that time i had got through to Redten

    Hi guys,

The only contact I've had from Baber Gulzar is the following:

    Hi Archna,

I have resigned as director of Redten Communications Ltd.

    Regards

    Baber Gulzar

I will do some more digging but thought I would let you know. Martin and I are putting a proper note together but it's unlikely to tell you anything you don't already know at this point I'm afraid.

I just asked Clode for a comment on this but the guy on the phone said he hadn't heard anything, I'll keep digging and see if anyone else can confirm this

Just had confirmation from a trusted source that Barber Gulzar has definitely gone, looks like Clode are likely to deal with this themselves from now on.

Anyone know if you have to inform companies house immediately of any shareholder change or is it only when you file your accounts with them, ie. once a year.

There has been lots of speculation about who actually owns Redten is is Barber Gulzar or Shiraz Jezza.
Companies house says Shiraz, but when I questioned him he said he had his shares sold last year.
If it's true, (not sure it is) then Barber although resigned as MD is still the owner, if Shiraz is still the owner then he is playing a few people at a game on this forum.

Hi Essex. I believe that indeed you do have to keep Companies House informed immediately of any changes to the directorship. Not that they would of course - they've flouted just about every other legal requirement as far as running the business is concerned.
Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Is it me or is it getting a bit quiet on this forum? Where's everybody gone - we should be keeping each others morale up!

Do feel free to post to say that you are still around, even if you haven't anything new to add.

Still here and watching but like most others, I have served my last letters to Deadpan and Clode and am now waiting for their response. Not expecting them to offer any more than we are currently getting without asking for additional payment. I cannot see this being resolved without legal action but I bet Clode don't actually let this get to court. I reckon they will make deals at the last minute, just as the banks did with their unfair charges cases.

I've had no reply to my email that I sent to Nick Davies with regards to the 7 day deadline about witholding payment until the service is restored - so the DD is already cancelled and if they have got time on their hands (which I doubt) they can chase me for a change, now wouldn't that be amusing!!
