Still here. Still waiting. Second round of RD letters due to go out shortly... I've never had any response to first ones (or emails) so these next ones will be giving them further time to respond or the DD gets stopped until this is sorted. They've breached contract in so many ways (never even transferred to NJP and no warning of any kind of change to level of "service") they don't have a leg to stand on. They realy are taking the p*ss!

I'm still here too. I also sent another batch of letters last week as per advice given by Trading Standards (Gloucester).
Will wait till a week monday to give them More than enough time and then will proceed to the small claims court and start that ball rolling.
Even if I receive a letter from clode - it will make no difference as the service is supposed to be supplied by REDTEN - and I'm sure Clode's letter will be a generic waffle and blah to stall again.

My BT line has stopped working. A fault at the exchange apparently. Bad enough that I have no ADSL, now no phone line either.

Hi Folks,

I've enjoyed reading this forum, so thought I'd join in. I'm trying to break the shackle of Redten and can't get a MAC from them. I wasn't too bothered about the change of speed, but constant dips in service and poor communication swayed it. I payed off Clode (all tax deductible) and now need Redten to give me a MAC. I've emailed over 10 times, written to them, phoned every number (including the elusive Mr Gulzar). What do I do now? I've been at it solid for two weeks and nothing.

I would say paying off Clode was not a good move they are no longer concerned with you and as they seem to be the only working contact your on your own

Ofcom are a waste of time they are toothless in the short term and life is not long enough to wait for them

You could find if there is an isp with llu in your area who dont need a MAC or stop your line with BT and restart it, takes about 3 weeks and costs about £130 I beleave

But then it probably tax deductible as well LOL good luck

I still believe that REDTEN is now defunct, probably slunk back into savastore where it came from. ( which is why Mr Jessa as taken an interest)
Or Clode are running the whole show.
