You should have asked them for a quote!
If the maintenance contract has in fact ended (and I bet it has) that is yet another breach of our original contracts and you could send the quote to Clode, asking them if they would like to take it up to restore our service.

Of course - if it's a free PC, they may feel that there is no obligation to provide a warranty.

Yeah he caught me on the hop...... The only person to have my Mobile number was Tariq from Redten!

He totaly denied he was from redten and told me watford had gone into liquidation......OLD news

Kept on ramming it home to him about redten/shafted with broadband etc etc
skin as thick as a Rhino and a brain to go with it!!!

Yes in hindsight I should have got a quote but Im afraid the red mist came down......... after all the crap we have put up with they have the neck to ring up to sell me a maintenance contract that THEY have defaulted on...... well i ask you..... this lot want to stick to selling double glazing :mad:

Trading standards called me today to say consumer direct has passed the info on to them. I was unable to answer the phone I will call them tomorrow.

total care rang me " about the Pc I bought from Watford " , I told him i never had which seemedto pee him off a bit "your details are on my list" , then it dawned on me , i bought some laptop memory from lowestontheweb.com that was part of the same group !!

so all they must have is a list of names , tel numbers etc

no one ever takes note of the posts i have made obviuosly i said ages ago bizbone are the company that held the warrantys and they went bust long ago as far as i can tell so you havent had a warrantys since then if thats the case i included that in my letter to clode i gave em 14 days i aint accepting no more than termination of contract i dont care what offers they make they have breached near on all the contract terms between them all !!!
