Another happy punter - can't they see what they are doing is illegal and downright wrong? They will have no chance in litigation if it gets that far!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

As well as cutting the line I can't log in to my account at NJP so think they have definitely pulled the plug on me.

So if they've pulled the plug on you, then that it a blatant breach of services. I don't think Clode can have any excuse to anything other than cancel your contract - good luck!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Guys,
Just typed the number listed for Barber Gulzar into google and it came up as the contact number for GA Windows (Saw an earlier post that he sold windows).
If this is Barber's home number can we assume that:
gawindows@googlemail.com
Is also an email address he can recieve from home and presumably an email address he checks regularly?
We could, but we could also assume he'd be as good at replying to our emails as he is at everything else!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Come on now give credit (no pun intended) where its due, he,s obviously a lot better than any of us at acquiring other peoples hard earned money to support his most enviable life style.Who cares ??0 -

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your letter dated 11/04/08 in response to mine dated 02/04/08. On reading it, I was disappointed to find that it fails to address the original issues raised.
I have indeed noted that the NJP service is currently limited to 15Gb bandwidth (note - not download limit) as my original letter stated. I am glad that you agree also, that it differs from the ‘unlimited’ facility previously supplied. Whilst I would consider my service with NJP to be fully connected, it is not the full service I enjoyed prior to the disruption in March and not the full service that I made the agreement for.
Whilst your understanding may be that it is a temporary measure to evaluate recent industry concerns around illegal downloads of copyrighted material, I believe that you are very much mistaken. Restricting the service serves no purpose in making such evaluations, as there is no legal way of monitoring such material without impinging on the European human right of privacy and furthermore, there is no effective way to differentiate illegal material from legal material such as BBC iplayer and Youtube. I would be interested to hear what guidance Redten have received from Offcom on the subject as there is no such statutory requirement. On speaking to Offcom, I get the impression that they are indeed keen to speak to Redten, but regarding instead, their appalling treatment of their customer base, deviating from the agreed service and terms & conditions and failure to provide a MAC code within 5 working days of request .
As you are in the Retail Finance industry, perhaps it would help you understand the situation if I gave you an analogy. Imagine I signed an agreement to rent a 234 litre fridge for 3 years, in return for which I received a free microwave and also a free upgrade to a 333 litre capacity fridge once they became available. The agreement was financed by a retail finance company. After 15 months, the fridge was removed by a bailiff, citing non payment to the fridge manufacturer as the reason. After 10 days the rental company replaced it with an inferior 58 litre model. On querying this with the finance company (because the rental company was not contactable and failed to provide any written correspondence to explain the swap), the reply came that the fridge had been reduced to 58 litres to prevent people from storing so much food, reducing the incidence of obesity. The reply then went further to say that 58 litres storage capacity in a fridge was more than sufficient for the vast majority of users.
I’m sure that even yourselves can appreciate what the above analogy means in the context of the Redten agreement. It is certainly not your position to judge whether this 15Gb bandwidth limit is sufficient for the vast majority of users . To imply that the restriction is due to illegal downloads is offensive and only serves as blatant prevarication.
It is now over a month since the original NJP service was provided and it is now patently obvious that I am not going to get my ‘unlimited’ service back along with a free upgrade to a 24mb/s service.
Irrespective of the flawed explanation offered by your letter, the fact remains that I am receiving a service which is not fit for intended purpose, is of unsatisfactory quality and the contract is not being fulfilled. Under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 you remain jointly liable for this failure. Therefore, the matter is not resolved and will not be until you cancel my agreement with you, as required in my original letter to yourselves. You have a final 10 days from receipt of this letter to comply with this requirement, before further action is taken. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely,

Hi
If you go in to the NJP Page you can re create your redten email accounts and you start to see you mail coming in to the mailbox again. The webmail facility is gone so no point in trying that
Cheers
Andy:beer:
I have recreated them on the NJP page but Outlook Express keeps asking for the password. Just note, the email password for my address had to revert to the original password as supplied by deadten but when I originally created the rest of them I supplied the passwords, is there a prompt on the NJP page for a password when creating new email addresses?0
