Ask your friend if he is accepting customers for me please

    :T

    And me please!

I also just can't believe this from Benji,

When you were a customer, you were VERY vocal on this forum about the underhanded tactics from RT/Clode, their Breachs etc etc etc etc

Yet since your RESULT!!!! post and the fact you said you wouldn't post on this forum again as someone was deleting your posts. you seem to be posting more favourable things about RT almost as if you've rolled over and are now taking it where the sun don't shine. Are you really a mere puppet?

Please don't take this as me having a pop at you as if you really are genuinely still campaigning for other more unfortunate customers that haven't been able to get out of this horrid Redten/Clode situation like you've told us all that you have been able to. Then I unreservedly apologise to you mate. And please don't abandon us.

I just want to be told officially what the fekkin hell is going on. I don't need to go over it again as you already know all the bad stuff.

Congrats on your mac code but this is perfect for redten as you now wont use your bandwidth and you still pay for it .

Your up the creek as they say ,just like me as i took my mac on day one.
The only benefit is you can now go to another isp but like me you pay twice.

You are correct, I havent moved yet and intend on keeping my access until I've figured out my long term gameplan. I do believe now I have a MAC code one of the conditions in the complaint have been met (even if I have to drag it out of them!) My main complaint will now move to lack of notice that service will change however I'm seeking legal advice on that matter to see if my thoughts are sound, and whether I would need to look at some other angles not previously thought of.

I got this email too at 0:00am... so what now?? they are saying that they deam this matter resolved. I don't!! how can they deem a complaint resolved without both parties being satisfied with the resolution?? (or lack of one).

does this mean that I am going to have to send my complaints letters again?

    morning all ;-)

Clode may have shot themselves in the foot with this letter/email, as it could be seen as a deadlock letter which would then entitle us to take the matter to arbitration. OOPS, Redten have not signed up to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme so our anly alternative will be to pursue legal action.

Keep us informed as im sort of in the same boat ,but be careful as taking your MAC and using it could be YOU breaking the contract even though redten gave it to you .

Jaypee638, I have already mentioned to him that there maybe hundreds if not thousands of customers in the same predicament and I for one will not take this lying down!!!

I have complete faith in my solicitor as he has tackled a simular situation before and came through with flying colours.

I think once we get 1 case through - the rest can only follow!!

Of course my situation is probably harder to prove because I left on day 1 cause I could not afford to be messed around like the other users on this site, but heed this "clode I will still pay my DD- but its only a matter of time"

deadten - I aint even going to waste a phone call!!!!

Good luck Andy ,keep us informed as im in the exact same predicament as you .Redten were informed of my situation but i only had 8 days to cancel my new contract and on the one occasion i got through to them i was promised a call back and never got it ,so i went over the cooling off period .I was only doing what i thought was right by the BT walled garden as i suppose you were.
  • From what Benji has said, it would seem that Redten is in serious financial difficulty. It also means they are looking to move you all again to yet another backbone provider...probably TalkTalk (means another disconnect/reconnect), but this will only happen for those who agree to sign up to the phone line rental package. Sounds to me like serious trouble is ahead for Redten, and they aren't being forthcoming and honest with their customers, Clode or NJP. I think Baber Gulzar's time would be better spent coming on here to answer his customers, rather than talking to an ex-redten customer. Redten is in serious !!!! not only financially. The company had failed to comply with OFCOM regulations in regards to Arbitration schemes and MACs. For the MAC issue alone, they can be fined heavily...not good for a company already in financial deep water.

Benji, at the end of the day, Martin and the MSE staff aren't here to fight battles like this. The fact that they've offered to look at it should be appreciated. Don't try to divert the anger of Redten's customer-base onto Martin and the MSE staff. At the end of the day, MSE is allowing those customers the bandwidth and webspace to air their anger. They've given them a place to talk about things.
