Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs! Just received a Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade disk complete with Watford Electronics branding. And only just over 4 months after placing my order. (Unlikely to be going to saverstore.com for the extra memory I need to run it, though.)

Mine, too, has arrived (I upgraded the memory straight after taking delivery of the PC, so I'll perform all my backups this week (just in case) and install Vista this weekend).

Still no "free monthly software worth up to £20", though. Although I'm told it will be made available as downloads from their website, soon.

Just wrote a long post about how my connection has turned to poo recently but my poo internet connection just lost it!

Anyone else having any problems connecting or reaching web sites?

Mine has definitely slowed down for certain sites like eBay in the evenings. That may be due the the sites being busy at peak times. It's measuring 6.7Mb sec as I type this morning.

Just done a speed test and am getting 800Kb/sec, about a tenth of what it's supposed to be!!!

I'm not worried about it being a little slow to download, just browsing the net you can't tell the difference between 800 and 8000 but it's when it seems to forget what it was doing and I have to keep clicking refresh every so often to get it to actually go to the page!

EDIT - getting 4mps on another test so speed looks to be fine, just it loads pages very slowly and sometimes forgets.

We signed up 4 this deal 6 months ago as we were after buying a new comp. Now as i understood & read when i went in search of this offer on-line there were only 10,000 computers available on a 1st come 1st served, so we did & yes 3 yrs is along time 2 sign up 4 but we were with our last provider that long, & yes u can b loaned the money which u then pay back monthly which is odd! But barr 1 or 2 hitches on our part we've had no problems wots so ever. The phone help although abroad were great & sorted us out, the speed in loading sites is great compared 2 our old provider NTL which charged £2 less than wot were paying now & we only got a 1mb download 4 that. The whole comp set up is covered for 3 yrs, Hell yes were happy. Do u know the best bit .. we've had 1 call in 6 months from these ppl just 2 check we were happy with everything .. imagine only recieving 1 call from your internet supplying instead of the dozens u recieve asking if ya interested in their latest offers :rotfl: So really when u think about it ive got a pretty smart computer set up & 8mb download free breakdown cover .. customer services that actually answer within a minute of u calling & no persistent providers bugging me @ least once a wk with the latest deals .. all this 4 £19:99 a month ... im happy & glad i took the step in signing up with these ppl.

Just an idea,
try defragmenting your disc and doing a hard drive clean-up.

Works wonders on the cache!
