Forgive me for contradicting the good folks over at NJP but the order was placed for the transfer on the 10th March, or was it, originally on the 10th February, when redten were given notice by BT --pay up or we cut the service. Remember they said they , redten, had been in negotiations to move to another provider and BT only gave them a months notice.
One of the reasons NJP are in the wrong cause redten should have told us pre the 10th march they were moving us and njp should have told us before the transfer stated not when it was nearly complete.
On the 11th March clode were told it was only to upgrade the servers to 24 speed and would take two days, that BT were wrong and we would all be back on by Thursday, then Friday , and then satyrday etc etc, I have an email from them to that effect.
This kind of behaviour is called " making it up as you go along " and changing your answers to suit your audience--sociopathic behaviour,

while i agree njp have a part to play in this i believe the responsibilty to notify us of any change lays solely with redten/clode as that is who we have the contract with. what i was told by njp is that redten had asked for the static ip address not actually on the 18th march but that was the date it was changed. i just find it funny that nobody had questioned any amount of bandwidth usage up until this point. coincedence? maybe. but i dont buy it.
redten told me on 10th/11th march it was dispute with bt then on 12th march i was told the "upgrade" had been planned. i totally agree with the making it up as you go along opinion, and when they are faced with facts the story changes again.0 -

dont need static address to monitor the level of usage--everyone operates a fair use policy with dynamic IP but it sures does make it so very much easier to trace what sites you visit.
maybe they want to track who is downloading copies etc. maybe they have new deal with microsoft. maybe it is for new advert sending. could be anything though newbie director b gulzar did seem to be very focused on that instead of our complaints.
