clode just argued that nothing they can do and insisted theres nothing they can do and redten is who i have to speak to i pointed out unacceptable and she said ring redten only they can release me am on phone to redten am annoyed now as clode didnt listen a word i had to say they reckon redten are answering phone and dont bother ringing clode about it if i want to take legal action then go ahead and dont advise me to cancell payment as well said in a very well if you do youll get charged !!!

Don't phone Redten, waste of time!

Phone back to Clode, ask them to contact Redten as they are joint liable for the service. If they refuse tell them you need to speak to the manager, just keep telling them that they are joint liable and that they need to pass your details onto Redten as that is what they have done for another customer. Don't take no for an answer!

ohh and they refused point blank to contact redten on my behalf said thas my responsibillity to contact them

Speak to the manager, keep telling them they're joint liable. They'll try to fob you off by saying that Redten are contactable which they clearly aren't. I phoned them twice today and spent nearly two hours on the phone for them to just hang up on me without even letting me speak to someone, that is not contactable.

Ask them questions like, "seeing as you are joint liable for the service, what are you doing to get it back as it should be? They'll probably say nothing so tell them that they have a legal responsibility to get your service back as it should be, remind them again that they are joint liable for the service."

Remind them again that they have done it for another customer so why won't they for you?

Keep on until you get a result, I've been on the phone to them for nearly 3 hours in the last two days but it gets a result.

SUPERB Benji - on behalf of us all weldone, your perseverance and time should benefit us all. Thanks

I have just contacted Clode - the guy was very helpful and polite.
I explained my problems contacting RT, being cut off etc, no response from emails etc.
I said I do have access to the internet but it is not a broadband service, they asked me if I had done a speed test, yes, I am getting about 1.5kbs, which is not the service I signed up for.

The guy took my details and said that a member of the complaints department would contact me back but they are dealing with a very high volume of RT complaints, his words "half the country are complaining about this".

He said he couldn't guarentee a call back today, I got pushy and said I expect a call back tomorrow or I'll be chasing you.. (thanks Benji).

Benji - does this sound similar to your experience?

    You talking to Redten?

Don't ask to cancel, ask for the service you paid for, if they can't provide that then they are in breach of contract.

Tell them you have evidence to show that it's not broadband and is limited.
  • Ask them to explain why it's limited when it's meant to be unlimited?

Do you actually have evidence, i.e. letter from NJP or to that effect?
