Well done for what you are doing for this dog.:T. He looks very similar to my friend's dog, and he's a jack russell/ staffie cross. I hope you have some good news soon.

Bless you! I hope you are ok. Like the others have said, your health must come first. Lets face it aside from obvious reasons, if you got taken into hospital because you made yourself so ill - what would happen then? Sorry to be so blunt about it all.

And you can take heart that so many on here who can help even just suggesting places are taking the time to do it.

I hope everything is ok for you both, I'm only sorry I can't help more.

Quick update........... He is being neutered on Wednesday which should make him more desirable I hope! RSPCA would not help me but managed to get a Dogs Trust voucher.

Have also contacted the little dog rescue - waiting to hear back but hopefully someone will snap him up before then.

Do ring them and have a chat - things may be different when you actually speak to them. I think you may find that some of the dogs are fostered.

    Have you also tried:

If you know of a dog that needs re-homing, your circumstances have changed and you want to make sure your dog goes to a loving home, perhaps you are too old or too ill to care for your dog any more, we can make sure a loving and safe home is found. If you wish, you may phone one of our team to discuss any concerns.

    Kathy – 07712 675 312

    Sarah – 07891 438 990

Thanks for that, will contact them later this week if no one wants him after he has been neutered.

Have had a couple of people interested after posting on another forum and there is also someone from here who might be able to take him as a foster so fingers crossed.

I'm so glad that your getting the help, sorry it wasn't off the rspca. I did nearly suggest the PDSA but wasn't sure if they did neutering for free.

Managed to get a voucher where I would only have to pay £30 with the Dogs Trust. When I spoke to the RSPCA (I went in) I was told that his new owner would have to neuter him as they only give vouchers (for £40) to the registered owner. As I had already told them the truth it was a non starter so could not even go back and pretend I was his owner!

They even said that they would not do it as I might be profiting off him by selling him????????? After I told them he would be free to a good home. They were very cynical to say the least! And besides I would need about £100 (after getting him done) just to break even with the vets bills, food and accessaries I have bought in the past 3 weeks!

Do the RSPCA neuter for free then? Not what they told me but it's all irrelevant now anyway!

Thanks anyway. Has really put me off the RSPCA now. Thank goodness for the Dogs Trust!

So pleased things are getting sorted and that the wee man is getting more interest. He's such a beautiful boy. I'm still very much in love with the little sausage...dumplings or no dumplings. :rotfl:

Lancashire...the better side of the pennines. :rotfl: Even my little girl who was born in Yorkshire has seen the light and converted! :D

Did have a funny incident with her earlier actually. Trying to train her to use a ramp for the car...she was not impressed (would not use it) and mummy fell over the ramp and spralled onto the floor cursing. When I stood up she was sat in the car (hmmmm) eating a treat....the one I tried to lure her up with. Ha ha ha.

It was fine till I noticed my neighbours curtain twitching! Grrr.
