I've been told by DH if you are struggling to find him a home, once he's neutered we would be interested in him. Obviously we'd have to meet him first and check he gets on with our monster first though etc.

Just a quick warning. It is quite some time after neutering that a dog only "fires blanks". If you rehome him with an unspeyed female you could still end up with a pregnant !!!!!.

Yes, our vet warned us that our male would still be capable of getting our female pregnant for a whole month AFTER the procedure. A good point to have made, gemini - I wonder how many 'shocks' have come from not knowing this  :D

Just looked into the cost of neutering .....eeeeeaaaakkkkk! I just cannot afford it especially as he is not even mine and I will also be looking at driving him to his new home as well (one possibility is a 200 mile round trip so I have to be pretty certain that he is the right dog for her before I take him). There is also someone from here who has offered a foster home so I am also considering that possibility.........

Why does it have to be so difficult? Or on the other hand, why am I making my life so difficult! I am sure a lot of people would have packed him off to the RSPCA by now but I am such a soft touch.........

He is absolutley lovely if I lived closer I would take him, We are after a small dog and live in a lovely little area, I am now a SAHM so he'd never really be alone.

I have two youngish children though so I'm not sure how he would be with the noise i suppose he is used to it being quiet?

EDIT: Just seen your above post, I hope that he finds a lovely home with one of the people who want him!

I'm sure you'll get something sorted. The offers are coming and this post hasn't been up all that long yet?

I'm a friend of the RSPCA OLDHAM on facebook so I've asked them is there any where you can get him neutered in your area. Hopefully they will come back to me tomorrow I'll let you know when they do.

Give him massive strokes for me :)

    Hi Lauren

I take it you are a way a way from South Yorkshire then?

Yes, he is used to the quiet but also was not phased by my sisters family or my mums household which is a lot noisier than where I am keeping him.

Unfortunately, one of the offers has fallen through so I am just trying to sort something out with the lady that fosters......
