  • apparently they dont open their offices until 10:30am
    so i am going to email them again and ask if they can transfer money back

    Do you think i should ask paypal to investigate or wait a bit longer for JOAG to respond?

    have you managed to get your refund back?

    I bought a Nikon D90 from them and paid for it via paypal on Sun 28th Nov, confirmation email on Mon 29th confirms delivery 1-3 days.
    Thu 2nd Dec no goods so try to contact them by phone, dont bother they never answer !! 6 emails later a reply telling me another 4-5 days with no reason why, another 6-7 emails asking to why the delay, no answer, another 4 emails, no answer, then finaly on fri 3rd i get email telling me i will get delivery on Sat 4th/Mon 6th, so we are now 8 days into delivery, i asked for tracking number and after a fight i was finally givin it, a UPS tracking number even tho confirmation says Royal Mail speical delivery, i did a trace only to find out the item was coming from France and not UK as stated in a confirmation email and from there website, the tracking also confirmed that it did not leave France untill Fri 3rd on a 3-5 day service, so yet again even more delay, i also done some digging into Jack of all games and spoke to a friend of mine who works for UPS to find out who sent the goods, to my amazment it is coming from PIXMANIA in France, yet another bunch of cowboys, doing even more digging i found out that Jack of all games is just a drop shipment company, they dont even have any stock to sell, they take you money straght away and not at date of dispatch then look around for the product online or from drop ship suppliers at 10-15% below there selling price, it dont matter where it comes from, could be france, Japan, China, who knows, you may even get a fake !!!, the goods never go to them but get sent direct to you from there suppliers, i have just got of the Phone to Nikon UK who advise me that the camera wont be covered by any UK warrentee as it is not a UK sale so if it goes wrong i will have to pay for repair, JOAG are not bothered by this and advise if it does go wrong i have to send back to Pixmania myself.
    so people beware what you buy from them as you have no idea where it will be coming from. furthermore i still have no idea when i will get the goods,
    Just beware this companys director also has another company called discount cameras online which is still selling online but does not have any stock either, there taking customers money and not supplying the goods, well done Mr Tal Marwood ! i hope you ae pleased with yourself

  • Thanks for the post Sichand. No money back yet. Just rang the bank again, and apparently the advisor was wrong yesterday by telling me I'd be refunded by midnight. They have sent me a letter out which i'v to complete, then return, and once they receive this, it takes about two weeks. A tad longer than an overnight transaction, eh?

    So lik you sichand I've replied to his email asking for a refund too... Let's wait and see,eh!

    and i'm a camera lens short - and cant afford to buy it from elsewhere without the refund!

  • Just after I made my last post, I replied to the JOAG email to ask for a refund, and what do u know.... I've had a reply already telling me that my order has been cancelled, and a refund has been initiated...I will anxiously wait and see! Oh and the final comment on their email states... "What method have you been trying to contact as this is the first email we
    have had? It may be in junk due to filter set on sensitive due to
    malicious mail".....hmmmmm

  • i just received an email that my order has been cancelled also
    no mention of refeund though!
    so i emailed them back asking for the refund to be placed into my account by today!
    lets see what happens!
  • What camera was ordered? I want to email them asking if it will be in stock this Monday when my salary is paid so I can order it. See their response. I would be surprised if they ignored it or their junk acidently deletes it.

    It was a D700 I'd ordered..... Guess I'm gonna be counting the days for my refund to come through!

    What would you say is a 'reasonable' timeframe, and then I'll start a book on how long it'll take them?:j
