I am in the middle of two bank charge cases with the First Trust Bank and the Ulster Bank, the FTB has refused my claim but the UB have still not refused and have said they are looking into it. If the UB does refund my charges can I use this case against the FTB as leverage?0

Hi, anyone know if the same ruling applies to Northern Ireland re: waiting for court decision re OFT? I am in the middle of helping a friend reclaim charges, she was overcharged 2500.00, and only offered 500.00, not happy with offer, they now seem to be stalling, dont know whether i can keep chasing, as perhaps the ruling does not apply in Ireland?0

Hi all, newbie here!
Well, my claim is against Nationwide for £609.93 + Interest + Court Cost.
Submitted court form on 27/6/07
Notice of Dispute Lodged 8/8/07
Transfer to Civil Case 10/8/07
Looks like i am going to court!!Just awaiting court date now from my local Court office!
I have had no correspondance at all since i lodged the case with the courts from Nationwide.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Or has anyone had to attend court hearing etc?
I'm soooo worried
Any feedback will be much appreciated!!! :beer:0 -

I phoned the court last week to find out the latest information and was told that as far as they were concerned it was business as usual. To that end I lodged a Civil Bill yesterday against the BOI and the court accepted it and the bank got it today in the post.....0 -
I followed the steps to reclaim, asking for statements, sending in details of unfair charges etc and was just told flatly by the First Trust Bank in Northern Ireland to go away. They said that I had no claim as the charges were in line with the account I had with them. Having read a some of the information in this site, I couldn't see anythin specific for Northern Ireland residents other than an article to tell me the limits in Northern Ireland for claims in the small claims court were considerably lower than everywhere else. Can someone please help me with what I should do next. I reckon I'm owed in the region of £5k. Thank you.0
