Oh Radish, work is on my mind :( I'm sure it will be fine, but why can't I live the life of a lady of leisure all the time?

Cat still not 100%, but I have ordered some more feliway so hopefully that will also help when it arrives. That animal is lucky she's so loveable!

Have really enjoyed my week pottering around the house and glad I didn't decide to go straight back to work after Brazil. Have been really lucky with the weather, and have whittled my 'to do' list right down. There is now only one real die-hard item - the mending that I didn't do last winter!! Everything else is either a recent addition or I've left it so long that I'm wondering whether I should bother (making up some muesli... I'll be moving to porridge soon enough!!).

I hope everyone else has had a good weekend!

You're not the only one - I quizzed my wife as to why a pair of canvas trousers were in her ironing pile and it turns out they were from the week we got married - almost a year to the day :rotfl:

lol... she has my sympathies! I hate ironing... and mending... and cleaning... and not too keen on cooking either. I think that makes me a rubbish housekeeper... good grief, what am I doing? I should move into a hotel!!

Just looked at my sig, and realised that if I reverted back to paying off the minimum on my mortgage it would be paid off in 20 years time this month.

I wonder what it will be in reality?! Much, much quicker than that, I hope.

Actually, I realised that I positively enjoy hanging washing on the line, and rarely procrastinate on the washing up for more than a day. I'm not all bad housekeeping!

I hate hanging washing out on the line, not sure why though. Don't mind bringing it in or ironing

    Thanks Shala!

Radish, you and I are opposites! I seem to remember you have a very strange dislike to one of my favourite veg... the humble carrot!

Had a lovely afternoon - went for a walk around the local park with a friend, and then went back to hers for a cup of tea. I really don't know where my last day of freedom has disappeared to... will be very hard to get up tomorrow and get into work :(

I have a ginormous pile of washing up to do... it's very tempting to leave it to my cleaner, who is coming tomorrow, but that feels morally wrong, some how. She happily does odds and ends of washing up for me, but this goes way beyond odds and ends

Thanks Greent! Yes, I had a great trip, thanks.

Have been back at work this week. I was very good and took in my own lunches and had four (!) NSDs this week. I blew the budget a bit yesterday as I bought lunch, and then in the evening went to see Jesus Christ Superstar with a friend. It was great! Tim Minchin was the star of the show, but Jesus (can't remember his name!!) was good, and Chris Moyle's was really funny as Herod.

I went to a 30 min circuit class at a gym near work on Thursday, and I'm still really sore! I think I'll try and go every week, as it's a very handy class, and I can go to it and still be home by 7.30. As I get fitter I'm sure I'll cope with it better. I really noticed how unfit I was in Brazil.

I've started working on another software negotiation, and I have decided I am going to do my best to stick to working 9 - 5, at least until it gets closer to crunch time for the negotiation.

My courgettes and beans are slowing down... I haven't had a huge amount of produce this year, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I've had over the last few weeks, so the garden hasn't been a total write off this year.

I hope everyone else has had a good money saving week!
