Happy New Year Sepa, so sorry to hear your cat is poorly, hopefully things will improve soon.
You'll both have to snuggle up and recover together
My diary is mainly loo roll, juicing and menu planning stuff so you won't miss much :rotfl:

Hi Tilly... now you've got me curious... loo roll?!
Need to go out... will open your diary on the first page I need to read, go out, then come back and start reading from there.
Otherwise if I go out now then I will be signed out and won't know where to start from.

Makes perfect sense to me - and a very good strategy.
So sorry to hear about your cat. Hope the phallic bandages do whatever it is that the vet is hoping they will.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Glad someone knew what I was talking about, Lois!
Unfortunately the vet suspects it's a tumour pressing on her nerves, but we won't know for sure until she has further xrays next week. It's quite upsetting, really, but she's getting lots and lots of cuddles from me as I don't know how much longer she'll be here to receive them
But hopefully the vet is wrong!
I don't have pet insurance, but fortunately I do have money set aside for a serious pet illness, so I'm not too stressed about the cost.
Anyway... financial update. December was VERY spendy... and not just for Christmas presents. I bought £300 worth of boots and shoes  both sets of boots were on special, but still very expensive. However I should get a lot of wear out of them, so not too worried in the long term.
So I need to start being a lot more disciplined! And a good start is that the lady who cat sits for me is going to do my cleaning for me in return for using my internet connection during the day. It will be for at least 3 weeks, which is brilliant - will save me just under £70... and I will be very happy for the agreement to continue beyond that if she still needs it
I think I just made my £5K OP, or maybe came in slightly under. In addition I made £3K profit from my lodger. I'm fairly pleased with that considering. However on the downside I overspent by £700. Must do better next year!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

I didn't make any NY resolutions last year, but this year I would like to.
The top one is to lose weight! My goal is 55kg, although I will be happy with 56kg. Sorry, I have no idea what that equates to in the strange system that is used by most people in this country!
Second goal is to make the front garden look decent. I have just had the fence replaced and the gate rehung, which is a start, now I have to do something with the garden itself.
Write a book on software asset management
So not a lot to ask of myself, but we will see how I go!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

Hey Happy New Year!!!
Sorry to hear about the cat but please please figure out the phone as the description of the bandage was Hilar!!!
I managed to just put half a pound over Christmas and lost it by the end of the year...

Hey Sepa
Sorry to hear about your cathope the vet is wrong!
Glad you had a good xmas and new year and good luck with your 2013 goals!0 -
Thanks guys... unfortunately my cat has really gone down hill this weekend. She can barely move, is struggling to breathe and has gone right off her food, poor thing. I will ring the vet in the morning and ask them to come around and put her to sleep.
They may be able to put her on steroids, but they only shrink the tumour for a month or so. I think unless there is very good reason to take her to the vet, I'll ask them to do a home visit. Poor thing! No one, neither me or the vet expected her to go down hill so fast! We were talking about taking her for more xrays to try and get a firm diagnosis next Friday!
