Thanks everyone. I'm starting to feel less sad... it's good to have work to go to. I'm also going to see the bf this weekend, rather than him coming here, and my lovely cat sitter will come round and feed Allie for me and keep her company while I'm away. I worry that she will get lonely.

Had 2 nsds this week... would have been more except that I've had this cold that's going around and so have been skipping breakfast and then buying it on the way to work. I'm pretty much over it now, so a couple of good nights sleep should sort me out, and then back to normal next week.

I went into Mr S this week to look for a new mop and a squeegee.... didn't find either, but came out with 2 bath mats, 2 hand towels and a toilet brush :rotfl:

I have a parcel to pick up at the post depot... hopefully it's my Christmas presents from my mum :T

*hugs* about your cat Sepa. Thinking of you, your suggestive photo and Tilly's loo roll juicing (I missed her comma when reading the post!).

    Thanks Katsu!

Well, this week hasn't been too bad... I had two NSDs which is good for me :)

Spent £600 on clothes yesterday  my favourite petite designer, Karen Gillam is going out of business and is having a huge sale. Very sad she's going out of business, as it means I'll now have to struggle to find clothes that fit me again, but I took advantage of the sale to really stock up, so probably won't need to buy any clothes for YEARS!! :rotfl:

    SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT

My brother works for a tiny little holiday company in Italy and they are offering holidays and activities in and around Pavia, where he lives, which is just near Milan (linate is the nearest airport).

If you're interested in something a little different for you hols, then take a look at www.me-in-italy.com.

Because they are so small, they can do lots of bespoke holidays, so if you would like something a little different, get in touch with them.

    END OF SHAMELESS PLUG!

It was my birthday this week, and my brother was over for work. He was giving a talk about the historical connections between Pavia and the UK for the British-Italian society. It went down well :)

Was lovely to see him. We had a nice dinner, and he met the new bf. He gave the talk the following day and then we had another lovely dinner with an old family friend who was in town. The only downside was that because my brother's colleagues were also there, we didn't get much quality time together, which is a real pity as the family friend lives in Australia, although he comes over here twice a year so I will see him in Autumn, but not with my brother, if that makes sense?

Hi all, I hope you had a good week.

I have been horrendously busy with work, and out most evenings last week except Tuesday and Thursday, and Thursday I was meant to go out, but it got cancelled as we were all too tired!

I've had a very productive weekend! I have done the following:

    Saturday:
    • Optometrist appointment
    • took some spare tablets back to the vet
    • picked up a parcel from the post office
    • bought fruit and veg
    • acupuncture appointment
    • cooked roast chicken

    Sunday
    • Went and did some conservation work for a couple of hours in the morning
    • Did 3(!) loads of washing
    • Hung some clothes out and then hastily bought them back inside when it started raining 5 mins later!
    • Hung it back out at around 3 and then had to race and bring it in at 4.30 when it started hailing!!
    • Finished drying the damp sheets in the TD and hung everything else out on clothes horses
    • batch cooked some curry which my lodger loves :D
    • stripped the chicken carcass and cooked some chicken stew
    • cooked and mashed some potato to make chicken stew into 'egglady pie'... this is a new invention of mine, along the lines of shepherd's pie
    • popped my ebay virginity :rotfl: and sold my first item. It sold in 5 mins flat, and made me £150!!!!! less a couple of quid in fees, but it was well worth it :D
    • Freecycled a shower screen... I have had 6 (!) requests for it, and will pull a name out of a hat sometime tomorrow.
    • Did LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of washing up

    to do:
    • Make my bed before I fall into in exhaustion

    Wow!

Forgot to say I also ordered some soft fruit for the garden, as I managed to kill my raspberries last year when I transplanted them.

I ordered more raspberries, a blackcurrant bush and a gooseberry bush. Yum yum!

and.... <deep breath> I have made the bed!

    Goodnight all :)
