This may seem a bit cheeky, but I was thinking of phoning again tomorrow saying after yest phonecall Id researched competitors and quote Virgin offer and see what they can do for me, maybe up to 50% this time? I hope this doesnt seem overly cheeky.

Whoa result! Just phoned SKY and got a reduction of my movie package from £37.50 a month down to £19.75.

Very pleased and I did give a bit of a sob story, but all of it true :j

mmmm i think i will try this in a couple of weeks time as i am moving soon and i dont want to pay for reinstalation if possible plus i could do with a new box!!

Thanks op just called got sky world half price for 6 months and reduced broadband :j :j Hubby is very pleased that i have saved him some pennies ( well pounds ) instead of keep buying all the goodies you lot keep making me buy :rotfl::rotfl:

I made the mistake of selecting the "change your package" option but having given my sob story to the lovely lady on the phone, she transferred me to the cancellations guy and told me to tell him I was planning to cancel my sky subscription so he could make me an offer - only the cancellations people have access to the good offers apparently! I was also offered half price sky subscription for six months! Yay!! Money saved for more "bargains" on this wonderful forum!
