tbh the account isnt in your name they prob wont deal with you at all due to data protection etc etc

Not if you have the account password. Ours is in my husband's name, but he hates to call help lines and I always have to do it. It's always fine as long as I give the password.

BTW does Sky+ need 2 wires or 1 pls?

It works with one feed, you just get a few less features. You can't record two channels at once or change the channel while something is recording, and you don't get Sky Anytime. It's still worth it to me.
  • Anyone know how to get a good deal if you're not with Sky. We don't have any (other than Freeview) OH has been desperate for it for years, but have persuaded otherwise!

Last time I spoke to Sky about best deal (he'd want sports!) They weren't that interested and were goin on bout £40+ pm which is out of our price range.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance

I have a couple of months left on my deal and have had some good offers before from Sky. I currently have the full package and phone and internet with them aswell as line rental.

If I ring is there anything I can say to get some sort of discount? It's £80 odd a month at the moment and with a Baby on the way etc it's expensive. But we use it quite alot so don't want to get rid unless completely necessary.

Having had to move before my 12 month term was up, everything was cancelled down the basic package, which I had to keep even though I wasn't using it.

Rang up the other day to finally cancel it, and was offered £9/month for next 6th months, a free engineer call-out to fit my old box in my new place, and after mentioning I'd lost the remote, they said they'd post one out for me. It was impossible to say no!
  • 25% off over 12 months for my package £13 pm and £10 pm off my broad band connect!!

    Happy days thanks OP:rotfl:

I've got Sky+HD inc installation (already had dish). Both Movies and 2 'extra packs' for £17 a month all in.

Aparently this is half price plus free HD. Signed up through best buy in July and hoping to extend on renewal.
  • Thanks OP, called and got 6 months half price without any problems.

I had a small fault with my box so tried to get a new one ......never got that tho......but technical support have solved the problem........will try again in 6 mths for a new box!
