We were offered half price on tv with a marketing leaflet as well about 6 weeks after disconnecting (arrived on Monday). Would getting the Cashback deal on Topcashback for existing customers upgrading to HD work on top of this I wonder? That would be better than half price HD then!

Cancelled Sky from 5th Oct (kept the broadband and telephone).
Today 2 December in the post was my half price for a year offer

£100 saved from not having Sky so far, now do I go back or by hard drive recorder instead ?
  • I have my TV, phone and internet through sky my 6month half price lapsed so I called and got free line rental for 12months

Got another letter through today offering 75% off for 12 months, (HD still not included), and £50 towards my bill. You have to have Sky TV, HD, and Sports and/or Movies.

This works out as £20.25pm if you have sports, £19.25pm if you have movies, or £22.25pm if you get both. (and then £50 towards your bill).

Unfortunately as I took them up on the half price offer, I cant have the 75% offer (and I did ring up to check!)

So wait 8 weeks after cancelling, you may get a brilliant deal.

I called up to say that I couldn't justify the amount I'm paying and told them I would be happy to cancel (lie) and just use the box as a freeview box.

The only thing I was offered was if I moved my broadband to them I could get that for half price but tv cost would stay the same!

I just said I would like to cancel so he said ok, so now I wait to see what I get offered to stay.

I asked the guy if I would get a letter confirming the details of me leaving and his response was "maybe maybe not"

    Really bad attitude.
