Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

many thanks op in oct i canceld my broadband and phone with sky coz broadband was useless,
am now with virgin for these, said i had had a call from virgin offering me a much better deal including multiroom.
i managed to get 50% off for the next 6 months:j but no offer of a cheap box or reduced multiroom, so will just stick with freeview upstairs for now

iv had free boxes and other reduced bills in the past so dont think its customer dependant, just a few weeks ago i had a new hd box as mine was playing up,
i think it`s just luck of the draw who you speak to if you dont get lucky first time i would defo try agen

I did - was trying to use that to get Sky Movies but best Virgin could offer was a £10 reduction on my current £60 package. If I wanted the movies I would have to pay £72 ish.

The way advisor was talking Virgin system isn't set up to offer discounts at mo - they don't seem to care if we all go over to Sky:(
But still worth trying Blah11 - you may fair better than me. If you do let me know and I'll ring again.

I then mentioned Virgin and she asked what had they quoted I said I couldnt recall an exact figure :doh: but it was half my sky payments. She then offered 50% no quibble.

Like others she said to ring back in 6mths for new offer.

Glad to hear so many people are getting gd discounts from Sky.

I have been with sky a few years and about september phoned up, threatend to leave and they offered me no decent deals.Just a discount for about 3 or 6 months . So I decided to leave. In october I got a mailing offering me half price sky for a year- on any package .
I kind of forgot about it and the offer ran out at the end of november. However in december they sent me another leaflet offering me half price sky for a year again, any package, plus £50 m&s vouchers. I took it , got vouchers in and now have full package- which I never had before.
I used to be their cheapest package which was £19.50 but now have the whole lot for £25. Plus saved three months paying Sky !
So dont be scared to cancel , as I found out I was better off.

well i'm 5 months into a 12 month contract maybe thats why?? i pay £86 for full package with HD phone & broadband

Why is this in the grabbit while you can section? The same thing has been in the work and play section since 2005 and is still going strong with posts exactly the same so hardly likely to be the type of thing that needs grabbing whilst you can. How do I contact admin to move it? I'm only being helpful before anyone gives me abuse.
