Maybe a bit late for this afternoon but I use Twinks Homemade Hobnob recipe all the time. I do it as a traybake and often add dried cranberries, apricots, coconut and chocolate chips to it. It's delish0

I made the(Rikki's mse) Flapjack recipe yesterday with the addition of some quartered glace cherries. Yum Yum
I made half the quantity and it just fitted nicely into a 7" square tin and cut into 9 pieces.:wave:0 -

I'm in the process of getting together a free e-book containing lots of cheap and easy meals.
I'd thought I'd share my Frugal Flapjack recipe with you. Very easy to make with the stuff you should hopefully have in the cupboard: If you have to buy any, I ALWAYS use Sainsbury's basic range, saves a packet each week.
Frugal Flapjacks
75g Butter
1tbsp Sunflower oil
100g Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Golden Syrup
Large banana mashed
50g Mixed Fruit
275g Porridge Oats
Beat together butter, oil, sugar and syrup until smooth.
Stir in the remaining ingredients and press into a greased baking tin.
Bake at 180/gas mark 4 for 25 mins until golden
I cut mine into squares before it goes cold.
I'm regularly adding cheap recipes online (click on my name for link) which like I say will eventually go into a free e-book
Enjoy!!! :j0 -
Hi AccidentalBusinessmum,
I've added your post to the main flapjacks thread to keep the recipes together and easier to find.
