Welcome Brix
How far along in the planning are you?
Really sorry to hear that Bec, what happened this time and why are you having so much bad luck?!
Hey!
I dont think im doing too badly with the planning! We have all the obvious things, im just in the midst of buying childrens boxes to keep them entertained for a little while and 2nd hand chocolate fountains! Our local company wanted £425 for a large fountain for 2 hours! So im on a bargain hunt and im going to have 4 fountains with different flavoured chocolates scattered around and its also another dessert!0 -
We are paying £385 for approx 150 guests, so a little over £2 per head and we aren't having dessert for our sitdown meal which would be £5 x 50 so we're looking at it as a bit over £100 extra to give all our guests dessert! Plus that's for 3 hours.
Have a lovely holiday x
That's not bad at all then! Nice one
Hello everyone!
I am back from sunny Morocco & need to get my bum in gear when it comes to wedding planning - this weekend I think I will aim to spend at least 2 hours on my wedding invitations as I really, really need to get that a little closer to completion else I am going to be panicking!
Also need to try & book an appointment for my OH to see suits, we've been trying to do this for weeks but can't seem to get hold of the guy that does it at the shop I bought my dress from, & I'd really like to go there first as we'd get a 10% discount! Might just give up & look at Moss bros or something...where is everyone else going for suits?:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Welcome back Pern. Did you have a nice hol? Good luck with your invites hope you get them done
For suits, we are using a local company, might be worth looking around. My cousin used Moss Bros and was pleased with them!
Whacked here. I'm so tired from my new teaching job it's stupid. Done nothing for the wedding for weeks, waiting for half term when both OH and I are off. So glad I was so organised before. Less than 8 months to go now!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -

Thanks Becca, it was lovely thank you, very very hot but it was a nicer, dry heat rather than the humid heat we tend to get here. I was shocked to come back & find it still hot though! We did some amazing things that I will never forget, love all the new experiences my future husband & I have shared together already
Right, that is also on the agenda for this weekend then, what kind of price should I be looking for? My OH doesn't want a full on morning suit & hat etc, just a nice dark but thin suit as it will probably be very hot, with a nice waistcoat & tie, & I think we'd like to get the best men, ushers & dad's matching waistcoats & ties if possible too!
Oh bless you, what age range do you teach? I've been the same though & I don't have the new job excuse! Just got to get back on it I guess, & I'm also glad I sorted out a few things so early on as I don't have to worry about them nowWhat have you got left to do?

Congrats Lorna!
Have fun becs, don't be pushed around would be my only advice, if you're not interested just walk on or they'll try the hard-sell. That was what I experienced anyway.
We have now given notice and booked the photographer. Hooray! Next things are my dress and bm dresses. We've been moving house the last few weeks tho so not done anything recently. Give it a week or so and we'll be back in gear0
