Yay! What did you get pern? And where from?
I've done a bit of both; some planning and some other bits. Do you think this all sounds ok for the evening invites:
Mr and Mrs X request the pleasure of the company of
..........................
to celebrate the marriage of their daughter

to mr bec
on Saturday 2nd June 2012 at 7pm
at the X Hotel, (Address)
RSVP to....
then in the info leaflet we're putting inside (titled Evening Reception Information), something like this:
We would love for you to come and see us get married. The ceremony is taking place at X Church (address) at 1pm. All are very welcome.
Does that sound ok?!!First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Sounds good Becs
Maybe put something in that they might want to do in the break between the wedding and the evening do? Would be pretty considerate and might also help make sure people don't just turn up to the wedding breakfast too?
We started planning the honeymoon yesterday and I am still ridiculously excited!!!!
Nice one Pern, that's next on my list I think
Hope everyone's really well! x0 -

Yay Pern! :T
The OH and I sat down to do that with a brochure, but we both liked completely different ones, so we're gonna compromise in some way (we want matching ones)
❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

As Rahven said, perhaps suggest a place where they could go to for a few hours... Perhaps a really nice pub for some lovely food?❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

We went to the jewellery quarter in Birmingham & ended up getting rings from the same shop! http://www.jewellers-birmingham.com/
They are both palladium, & mine looks pretty much like this:-
Future hubby's is like this:-
Sorry for the size difference, not very good at posting piccys!
Your invites sound great but I do like the idea of an extra bit with ideas of what to do & where to go, especially for people who live out of town & don't know the area.Sounds good BecsMaybe put something in that they might want to do in the break between the wedding and the evening do? I originally wanted matching rings too but our styles are quite different, so instead we just have matching metal, both have a diamond (or more in my case, hehe!) & we will hopefully have a short matching engraving on the inside, not sure what to put though as it will have to be very short to fit on mine! Maybe just the date or something, any ideas anyone?:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Sounds great! What kind of ring does he want then? I'd highly recommend the jewellery quarter in Birmingham if anyone is close enough to take a trip that way, I found lots of places were much cheaper than the high st shops around here, & there's a lot more choice. Just be careful to bypass the really, really expensive shops! (I started looking in the window of a couple & noticed most items were £1000+, so we quickly moved on!):idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Beautiful ring Pern! Sounds like it may well be worth a trip to Brum then, hmm. Possibly stupid question - is the jewellery quarter easy to find?
Honeymoon - Vegas and West Coast USA with a chunk of time in San FranciscoWe started planning dates and pricing everything up this weekend. I was more excited than a small child!
