Hi ladies,
Please can I join you? We are getting married on 16th June 2012! All we have booked so far is the church and the venue, I am currently trying to negotiate with a marquee company as we have to sort all the bits and pieces including catering ourselves, which is a pain but at least we can pick and choose what we want!
Congrats cm and welcome the threadUmbraFeles wrote: »What are you doing with your train for the evening? I was thinking about a loop around my wrist but we're having a ceilidh so I think I'll struggle to dance easily and a friend at work had mentioned bustles. I've been looking at photos all evening and think I'm going to have a bustle - what are you all going to do?
My dress already has some bustles on (I had to wiki what one was! :rotfl:) so for the evening I'm hoping to hook it up to add another to it❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

Oooh and I'm off today (cos it's past 12am!) to look at wedding cakes with my mum and gran... I'm looking at potential styles and things that we could add to the design we've made (and also to check on portions etc, which will be helpful for the OH.)
I know what we want but I just want the basics and some ideas of how it could be different.
Here's hoping it's a successful trip!❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

My dress is designed to hook up on the back so it still shows all the detail. I'd go mad having it around my wrist! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I have a feeling I'd end up having some kind of accident with it round my wrist so hoping for one that hitches up lol (is that what a bustle is?!)0

Yep, they can either have ribbons / buttons inside to hitch the dress up; something that looks like a drawstring to pull the dress higher in one go; or the train is fixed to points on the outside of the dress. I read about them for several hours last night before sending pictures to seamstress/MILTB!
Mupette - wow, I wanted colour as well but not brave enough to have colour for the entire dress! Going for a sash in a similar colour to the dress you've chosen. I love the styleGetting married: 21/06/12!Current weight loss: 2st!!!0
