Hi guys can you help with a little info on the £20 off The Mobile Phones R&R, as like a lot of the bigger Tesco stores the entertainment section has its own payment/cs section where you pay and collect your goods, this is obviously different from the main check out!

so my question is where do you actually pay for the phone i.e. do you pay and collect before checking out your main shop hence not triggering the obvious discount or do you put the empty dummy box (for the phone) on with your main shopping through the main checkout and how do they process it!

Sorry for sounding a bit thick but I want to be 100%

We seem to have a few people boasting about giving obviously false details again. If what you're doing is wrong then don't do it. If what you're doing is right then what are you worried about?
If it's OK to lie to Tesco then presumably the odd bit of shoplifting is OK too? There has to be a line somewhere.

    :confused::confused::confused:

Don't quite follow the logic here. Why do they need the name in the first place ? Is it standard practice followed consistently, NO, is it required to for the legality of the R&R to be enforced, NO, is it because they want to keep a record of R&Rers so that they can compile a hotlist and claim your are a persistent R&Rer, here is your ban, well let's consult my Hong Kong Book of Hong Kong Fu, it says, COULD BE !!! :D
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

now whats the difference between a consistant r+r er and a normal shopper?

one of them checks his/her reciepts
  • That should do nicely !! have a nice day !! EVERY LITTLE HELPS

Update - finally unpacked my treasure only to find out that there is no mains charger in the box - the contents states very clearly that thjere should be and surprise surprise the label with the price markdown did not mention anywhere that the price was reduced because there were missing items - simply reduced to clear :T

Just as well my statutory right aren't affected - i will enjoy my conversation with HO tomorrow twice as much now - not only were they flouting TS by overcharging me but they have sold me incomplete goods.....

they don't do much to help themselves do they.

Fortunately there are Tesco stores a plenty near me so i don't need to bother with that store any more as i reckon i'd have a fight on my hands every time, but once it's resolved i think i might let it slip so all of you guys can take advantage of their glaring ineptitude.

Thanksa for the advice guys - Confidence fully restored - i'm going in fighting now :D

Sorry but it would have to be a bloody thick line to have shoplifting on one side and giving a false name on the other.

The two are no comparison so dont make out as if they are.

I dont think anyone was really boasting about giving a false name, its just having a laugh at the expense of tescos, something of which everyone who has had an R&R is guilty of.

    Get off your pedestal.

If you dont like it dont read it
That's got to be the most stupid comment ever posted on any forum anywhere. How can I know if I like something until I've read it????
As suggested, let's move this over to the ethics thread.
    Can I help?
  • after choosing the oldest looking / tiredest / most stressed looking checkout operator as well .. :)

I would say the youngest and most carefree is the best bet, preferably good looking girl, brunette, 5ft 6", atheletic, nice boobs, great smile, good personality, and great in bed, degree level educated, with a wealthy family background, and maybe a title .... but not to fussed as long as they press the wrong buttons really. :D
