  • Wow,

tesco bought you for 60p? My good lord, I bet the Morrisons HO have got MI5 searching for your address right now to send you a card for 80p and a packet of extra strong mints.

Anyone had any better offers from a supermarket?
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.
  • Slightly off topic but in a Mr T today i saw a young assistant putting out a load of packs of chicken breasts reduced fron £3.49 to £1.59

    As i passed i looked at the date on them - d/u 21 Nov , u/b 22 Nov

Longer dates than the full price packs.....Looked like he reduced the new stock :rotfl:

I've had the same in reverse. Tesco took a money off coupon for £1.50, then decided they wouldn't accept it and gave it back to me defaced. Then were extremely rude into the bargain  It was a TESCO voucher for a TESCO product but apparently 'if it doesn't scan we can't accept it'.

I have put up with lots from Mr T up til now. Meat going off well before its use by date. Even advised the CS not to have a sniff as it was vile (he ignored me).
Tags left on lingerie which security guard then has to take out of bag, one item at a time, in full view of old lady customers, to wave through the doors to see what is setting it off.
Getting ID'd by the same person EVERY time I buy alcohol, even though she only saw my passport two days ago (I'm 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!").

But I shall be shopping at one of the other supermarkets from now on. All for the sake of £1.50 that a moody till supervisor didn't want to sort out.

Might still nip back for the odd R&R though. :p

Tesco have hardly bought me, they just showed great customer service, so I felt valued.

    Save the sarcasm eh son!
Most people overlook opportunity as it comes dressed in overalls, and looks like hard work.
  • If any of you are undercharged, or an item missed off your receipt do you go to the cs desk to offer the money

Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
  • i went to tesco today, my second RnR in that store after i RnR some chicken 3 weeks ago- spoke to the CS about overcharge on my sirlion steak (SEL 11.87, PACK 12.87), she refused to give me a refund because she said i pick the wrong pack which didnt have the reduced label on it. i told her it wasnt down to me to look for the RIGHT pack, so she got her manager, still insisted i was wrong and basically said something along the line like CANT GIVE YOU THE MEAT FOR FREE. she told me to call trading standards or head office if i wasnt happy with the solution so i thought fine, i will just refund it and get it over with. (i think she really thought i wouldnt call anybody, which was true cuz i didnt want any more hassle)

on the way home, i thought maybe i should really give headoffice a call, so i did. a long convo for 10 minutes, he said he would call the store and look into the situation. he offered me to file a complaint first but i insisted i wanted it to be sort out today.

at the end, he called back and told me to go back into the store and speak to that manager, she offered me those 3 packs of beef back for free (should of been the case anyways!)

what i am most furious is that the other CS lady that i first dealt with said- she recognised me and i was there few weeks ago for some chicken! i have really tried to maintain a low profile in that store, and my last RnR was there about 3 weeks ago now with a few whole chicken. now i probably wont be able to go back to the store again within the next couple of months.

argh!!! i am thankful that i did bug the CS lady abit though, when she had to give those beef back to me, she asked me if i wanted to pick my own pack ever so politely and before i left, she said what did the head office say they are going to do? to SACK YOU, i said, (not really)

gosh whats with the cs these days? its their fault and wont do anything about it until i call the head office. got me shaking there....

I always think I won't make a fuss if I am refused the r&r, play the long game etc. but as soon as they get snotty that goes out of the window and my heels dig well and truly in until I have r&r. I think they train in how to rile customers.
