Its a discussion thread on misprices !, the ethics of r&r are on the ethics board, that sort of debate will see this thread get closed down !

oh and its funny this guy has only posted 16 times and has focussed right in on this thread?, I wonder why ?

I have a conspiratorial theory (and this might be very stupid):

sooner or later this "story" is going to end up in the national press. Actually I assumed when (I think it was) Taxiphil was after other people who had been banned it was so that one of the nationals could run a "tescos xbillion profit, and meet the people banned from their stores for pointing out misprices" or something like that.

But what if a paper took the other approach and was after running a very negative story about "the people scamming tescos" and likening it to benefit fraud or shoplifting. I know where I'd go for quotes if I was a journalist.

Then again, I've always wondered what the long term Tescos strategy would be, what would you do. I'd employ a pr firm to be ready to counter any accusations of banning or why the policy might be coming to an end.

Listen, there's a dedicated thread for discussing the ethics of R&Ring. If you feel so strongly, go post your opinions over there. This thread is not for discussing ethics. TaxiPhil has already given you the link and you've said you've take a look. Seeing as you know the thread is there, you have no excuse to continue posting your ethics debate on this one. If you do continue to post opinions on the ethics of R&R here, then I will be the first to call you a hypocrite, as you will have shown that when you don't like the rules, you are quite happy to break them. Mods have already said this thread is for misprice discussion only.

Oh, and I've reported you for the personal attack on TaxiPhil. See? You're already showing yourself to be a hypocrite. You obviously only stick to the rules you agree with. Rules like "No Personal Attacks" are there to be ignored, judging by your sarcastic comments aimed at TaxiPhil.

It's ok, sopplayer. He just wanted to let us know that he thinks we're all immoral people who have no principles. What he obviously doesn't get is that some of us do this BECAUSE we have principles - we won't take being lied to and treated in a disgusting manner by anyone, including big companies like Tesco. It's a shame he doesn't have principles enough to post on the correct thread, even after it's been pointed out to him several times.

Like I said, he just wanted to let us know what he thinks of us. At the end of the day, though, who is he? To me, he's inconsequential.

if i had any advise to give i would suggest he read a little more of this thread from the beggining and then maybe he would understand a little more......and when he's changed his views we could look forward to his posts on the misprices only thread :rolleyes:

Anybody have any idea whether or not a till receipt is 'flagged' on the system as having had an r&r done against it? Just wondering whether it's ok to get points added onto a clubcard after having paid cash without using the card.

I suppose I can answer my own question in the sense that if the receipts aren't flagged today - they'll probably start doing it before too long. Anything to try and foil the r&r aware shopper - except price things correctly of course!

Maybe I should save the receipts up for my retirement - I wonder how far back they can add points on for....
