Anyway, regardless of the facial recognition, tying up the clubcard to the security system in that way ISNT what the clubcard is there for is it?
I'm sure most people signing up for clubcard are not aware that it can be used to alert security guards at other stores as to if you have had a refund in another store!
And for that matter, why are security guards allowed to review what I've bought on my clubcard??
Don't you believe it mate... the clubcard is not about rewards or loyalty it is about branding, marketing patterns and demographics.... that is why I don't have one.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg, if you are not already aware of it do a search for RFID (https://www.theregister.co.uk) is a good place to read about such things. These are tiny transponders that can be embedded in just about anything including clothing.
Within the next year or two with RFID the store will know what you have taken off the shelf, whether you have brought it, if it is the same item as you are intending to refund, what you paid etc.... The London Oyster travel card has RFID too... and there are plans to link that to multiple systems for our "convenience".....is all a bit too Big Brother.0 -
I noticed that in the misprice thread some people post Asda coupons which apparantly let you have money off in Tesco as well, sometimes a lot more than Asda. Why would Asda coupons work in Tesco?0

tony hawks wasteland - £34.97
F.E.A.R - £37.97

Coupons from Supermarket magazines work in other supermarkets because they use the same barcode system, I think. At Tesco the till will scan coupons from Asda, Sainsbury's Somerfield, Morrisons...the list goes on. I may even have the odd one or two in my coupon stash....
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

To make sure you keep shopping at Tesco. They'd rather loose say £2 on a £50 shop by accepting competitors coupons than to loose the whole £50 shopTitch0 -

Do Tesco accept all competitor coupons then? I tried this years ago in my local and the told me they only accepted certain types, I think it was the £x off when you spend £xx type.0 -
A poem by Frequent
" My eyes squint, after a while, in the meat ailse.
Then I scan games, don't no all the security by their names.
Next come the phones, by now eyes bore through to my bones.
Customer service is next, I can see they are vexted.
Screwing up their face, like they own the place.
"I do" I say in jest, time for the bullet proof vest.
Got my R&R, am happy for the day, from a Tesco just down my way.
Going back tommorow to get some more, how you gonna ban me from every store ?
MSE is the place to learn, decrease your shopping bill while you earn.
If some freebies come along the way, say thanks, squirell them away for another day.
Frequent is here to take the p..s, is there something I did miss ?
Oh yes, site ethos of screwing them back, trying my best to inspire the pack.
Better stop before I get banned, I hear Tesco have this site manned."Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

Hehehehe Nice poem Frequent ....
Can anybody tell me, what's going on with the pricing on the Tesco.com site and the prices in store ? .... they seem to be all over the place ...
Take the XBOX 360 Games for example ... (thats the full list)
Pro Evo 6 at £34.97 (which is a pi$$ take really as they just bent over backwards in store to put it up from £37.97 to £39.97)
Lego Star Wars II £29.97 ... another which has been frantically put up to £39.xx in store!
I'm sure there must be loads of others ....
What's the score here then...???0 -

In essence they would rather fvck up online than instore as supposedly the price promise does not apply there, I say supposedly because they have not yet as far as I know been tested on the fact that whilst they claim the policy does not apply online they still have it published on Tesco.com!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
