It just cracks me up given that you work for the firm - mind you I expect both Constantine and Spa"Crouch Wears A Dress When Not At Work"2k garages' are both full of gear.
The things some Dudes will do for the magic 'XBOX'....
Good luck to you Sponger2.
Duder
I have to question whether sponger2 is serious or just some troll trying to stir things up.....Lets put things into perspective here.
I've bought an x-box from my employer. I wanted the x-box anyway and was perfectly willing to pay full price for it - so i did.
I then see pound signs as i log on to here and see that someone has spotted a possible way of getting a refund on my earlier purchase. So I go to the CS desk at this other store and cause a bit of a fuss, and come away with nothing. I then tell my colleagues and managers about this and they all tell me what I want to hear. So i go back and cause more fuss and still no refund!
Here are my options now:
1) Keep my xbox as per plan, put it down to experience and move on thus keeping my job
2) Risk my job, shares, discount etc for the sake of an at best disputable misprice
To be honest both myself and constantine have the knowledge and ability to obtain garageloads of gear, lets face it, I am not known in many other stores and there are so many now it would be simple. However both of us can see the bigger picture and know that in doing so we would be the ones to suffer long term.
Oh and dude, is your constant slagging of mr crouch a denial thing? Admit it, you is in love!!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Quite a hassle getting it, but got there in the end.
Saw SEL was 37.97 and checked on scanner - 39.96. So off to till and paid for shopping. Going outside to check receipt, I noticed I didn't have one, only the little money off type coupons! Back to till, girl said she must have given it to me, so now start to panic that I've lost it, but minute or two later she finds it.
Out of store again checking prices and guess what, I've been overcharged on xbox 360 game. Back in to customer services, they off course tried to give me the difference, but I politely pointed out their policy and left a happy man.
Keep the faith

If they couldnt have found your receipt they can print off a duplicate one, trackable by clubcard or payment card on the system. I know because we used to do it for when I worked for T when customers lost receipt for electrical items but can only be traced upto 3 months back.
Hope this helps for anyone in the future, all stores have this facility. If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.0 -
I usually lurk but as things have been a bit one sided lately I've unlurked!! For the record I support Hey Dudes views on the latest Xbox "error". Its also a bit petty to insult Tesco staff because they won't allow an r & r on a claim that at best is dubious. To personally insult employees who were praised as saviours last month is a bit unfair. At the end of the day you paid the price advertised even if the saving was inflated slightly. If you want a better example of a company that exagerates savings look at the 360 games on the HMV website. Their RRP seems to be £10 more than elsewhere making their savings much bigger but I don't see any critiscm on here.
Many people have made it clear that the guidance from Trading standards is that if overcharged you are legally entitled to refuse the item and get a full refund or receive the difference. Is there anything in the Consumer Protection Act that makes r & r a legal requirement? It may be a Tesco promise but is r & r enforceable legally? (I be quite interested to know the answer to this) I know that some argue that you are shopping Tesco based on the promise but is it legally binding? If it is legally enforceable then by all means push the boundaries.......
On a more constructive note some people have asked how best to remember all the possible r & rs before a visit. I'm not a serious r & r'er but have a suggestion. Some people have r & r 'ed MP3 players. These usually have a record function. Record the misprices on the player before your visit then listen to your top r & rs whilst browsing the shelves. A bit less obvious than a crumpled MSE printout.......

Should point out that this can only be done for the store that the item was purchased in.....it cannot be done for an item purchased in a different store.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Chris if you haven't already done so I would request a data search from Tesco in your position stating you have reason to believe unauthorised information my be stored as a result of the conversation that took place, if you have already requested your search then you should contact them to extend to cover the period including your "interview" I think your in for a shock when you get it.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

R&R is most definately enforcable under contract law, you may like to take a look at the ethics thread for answers to the questions you seem to be pondering.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Am I correct in thinking that now ALL xbox 360 games now scan correctly? Is this some sort of national co-ordination between all tesco stores? Secondly my local tesco has their games in a large plastic box container things preventing me from using the self scanner. Anyone else with this problem? Do you self scan before you buy or wait to find the incorrect price at the till?
thanks
