Facial recognition systems are in their infancy and are rather expensive. To use them for this would be totally unrealistic.

From a company that announced the kind of profits tescos have, something "rather expensive" shouldnt be too much of a problem surely?

I'm pleased you got a good result - I really am.

But the above information given to you regarding CCTV being linked to Clubcards is complete tosh - 100 percent turd-tosh-balls - I think they were trying to scare you.

They probably were to be honest, but it didnt work as I never us my clubcard anymore so its not really an issue!

Got my £17.50 worth of voucher through yesterday, gonna use them then thats it as far as clubcard is concerned for me!

  • nope no uniform cos i used my privilege card on the purchase so got it for £251 but am told by my boss that "that 10% discount is our privilege for working for them and doesnt count towards the price promise and that they definetly owe me a refund just like any normal paying customer" they also tried saying that cos i work for them that i had inside information i told them "no i am a member of a consumer website and had been told through there" i had purchased the xbox on 3rd and had no idea about the wrong price at the time

i am writing about quite a small overcharge (which has never been rectified) but the princple is shocking. if it is not corrected when you get r&r just think of how many people are getting ripped off without knowiing it!

I'm sure most people signing up for clubcard are not aware that it can be used to alert security guards at other stores as to if you have had a refund in another store!

And for that matter, why are security guards allowed to review what I've bought on my clubcard??
How do you know that this is the case? Have you seen the sential system in action? Did the manager actually say that your clubcard transactions will be monitored from one store to another based on the sentinal system - and particularly by the security guards? All that you have said is that you have been told that sentinal is linked to clubcard. Nothing about the monitoring from one store to another, nothing about facial recognition. The rest of your post is supposition and rumour.
