At the store I go to I take a small handful of receipts (mother in law doesn't have clubcard - so i have her points) and they put the details in manually as a whole and not individually, hence them not scanning the barcode.

This is highly improbable.........dont they have scanners then!!

    I gave up a £34.56 golden receipt.
I put it down to the shock of my second double cash refund.

Would this make it a Platinum r&r?

I can confirm that they don't treat staff well

staff get paid just above the minimum wage.

    They get treated poorly !

If your off sick- you have to attend "welcome back meetings" (the start of disciplinary action for being ill)

Tesco announce record profits- staff get rewarded with sandwiches

    oh so much more

I can't speak for the people of T in your store but where I was I felt I was treated as an individual and not just a number. I felt my wage on CSD was a decent wage with double pay on Sundays. (now only time and 1/2). The only reason I left was that they couldn't accommodate me on csd any longer as I didn't want to work Saturday evenings so I left and got other job.

I don't think this is really the thread for this though.

Back to work interviews after being 'sick' are fairly common these days for hourly paid staff. My company does it because so many people are trying to 'swing it'. therefore Tesco are not unique in their approach..............god I nearly defended them.

I can assure you that I worked on cs as I have previously stated. At my local store where I worked we only allow customers 1 week to add their points on from their receipts and there is a function on the cs that allows you to manually enter the points aas a whole. This is what we did when also when barcodes wouldn't scan.
I have nothing to gain from lying to any of you so why would I. I am only stating what happens in my local store which may or maynot happen in other stores.

  • There's no reason why you can't pickup a new card and use that to collect points before adding em to your other card eventually, say 6 months later...you may even have had your fill by then!...followed by the next "rinse & repeat" cycle.

    Nearly! ;)

Yeah that back to work meeting is a fairly common thing these days, not just for hourly paid staff either!

Its like you have to defend yourself for being ill!

I dont mean to sound selfish here but I dont think I'm going to bother posting my finds on the misprice thread anymore for 2 reasons..

1, That list that was made yesterday (and this isnt a dig at the OP, I actually thought it was quite helpful as it saved me doing my own, which is what I usually do) EVERY item was correct/sorted in EVERY store I went in yesterday (6 in total) may be a coincidence but I dont wanna be helping Tescos find misprices!

2, And this is the most annoying one for me, The post I made on there last night detailing the phones I got on R&R was deleted! !!!!!! is the point of having a misprice thread if some donut deletes the misprices off of it? Even if they had been previously posted, surely people find it helpful to know it was more than just a one off? I know I do!

    Rant over.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Noticed the following, probably loads more. Always check the prices.

Lime and Coriander Crisps, Quakers. 28gram bag, 39p a bag but quoted on SEL at £1.12/100grams. Should be £1.39 per 100grams.

Tesco Non bio liquid detergent, and the colours one. 1.5 litre bottle, £2.30 a bottle quoted as £1.15 a litre online but should be £1.53 per litre.

Instore the detergent is correctly priced but online it is not.

    Would these qualify as misprices???

Always check your prices per 100grams/mls etc, never trust Tesco to do it for you.
