Not true, they do know and will steal the points back and trace you back to the fact that you have been abusing the r&r policy- eventual store ban0 -
Not only do T make money out of people being over charged but they also make money on items that are left at the checkout. They get took to CS who log item onto computer and 90% of the time the customer doesn't come back for it. I have first hand knowledge of this as I worked on CS for 11 years until recently. So it makes a change people getting their own back so to speak. If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.0

Monster_Deals wrote:One store I farm gives double cash refunds, this has happened twice now, the first time omn 48 cans of knatts !!!! lager the second time on 32 bottels of smirnoff ice.
They do the following:
1. agree thet have overcharged, out of date SEL.
2. For the knatts !!!! (cost £37.80) gave me a £75.60 cash refund.
3. Gave me the goods.
It's their policy they know what their doing !!
Went back the week after, smirnoff £34.56 cost, gave me £69.12 cash refund and I kept the goods.
I do like that store.
Yes I have 3 favourite stores and couple of nasties, different stores have different approaches0 -

I think of it as each R&R uses up a life.
My son pointed out that scanning SEL's with an empty trolley looks suspicious, he was right, so now I put a couple of 12 packs of toilet rolls in my trolley, looks like a weekly shop going on on the CCTV.
When you have gathered your mispriced goods, dump the toilet rolls.
That also looks exactly like a nested trolley, which is what a shoplifter would use prior to stealing the goods.
If you want to avoid the attention of security and staff, I would suggest you do not follow that technique.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

Not quite true I'm afraid.....Points added at the CS desk apparently "flag up" on the CC system......too much of this on a persons accounts, and you will be investigated .............as us "womblers" know, and this could result in a simple deduction in points or the "abusing the system" letter.Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

how can they trace that you have been refunded other than it being wrote on your receipt, and also no clubcard swiped when refunded. They don't ask for your details when refunding on an overcharge so how can they match it up to you when adding points on on a different day with different CS lady, they can't.If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.0 -

From your example here, what exactly are people getting their own back for?
If some customers forget some of their shopping and Tesco staff keep it back for them, then really they've done all they can. I think the extent to which some people on this thread want to portray Tesco in a bad light can get pretty ridiculous.

What............Now you are saying you got double refunds AND still got to keep the goods............thats a bit hard to believe....these CS really need a re-train....or sacking.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Not a mis-price but 24 cans of Tetley Smooth Flow for £7.49 in Tesco tonight as a discontinued line. The packaging has an England Rugby player on it, Charlie Hodgeson the Flyhalf I think.
Very good deal, approx 32p a can.0
