Dogs are scavengers they can handle old meat. Maybe not the moroccon spice but the meat will be fine for the dog.

  • Nope! Dog wouldnt' get it either!

I have sniffed it and tasted it - BUT it was cooked as a leg of lamb with a morrocan spice rub and all i can smell / taste is the spices...

    - would you eat it ? If we do eat it - it will be made into shepherds pie so will be reheated....

The fact that you're asking this and not heading straight for the bin means you probably believe that it's OK :)

Do check in again tomorrow so that we know you're OK :p

    the dog has eaten it....

we still have yesterdays leftover lamb to use up - but i will get it off bone and put in freezer this time...

last week we had one shepherds pie from the leftovers and then the rest was put in a tupperware box in fridge... DH has some sandwiches from it, before it got forgotten about...

aghgh - we are not usually this disorganised...although we do get a bit "lambed out" at this time of year as we have 3 in the freezer....

and another 30 hopefully pregnant in the field..

anyway i will let you know how the dog goes on.... she is 11 next week and is usually ok with most things - a very robust springer spaniel..

I have eaten roast lamb and roast beef that has been in the fridge for a week and never suffered any side effects. Hope your dog enjoyed it. Shame it isn't a sheepdog.

Hi I have just found a tupperware of cooked lamb that was cooked last saturday night and has been in the bottom of the fridge ever since....
i thought OH had eaten it all in sandwiches.... he said he did

I could give it to the dog - so it would not be wasted completely....

No I wouldn't eat it or feed it to my dog after 9 days.

I'm normally the last person to bother about time, going mainly for the sniff & taste test, but I think after a week even I'd be suspicious and have gone straight for the dog option.
