They'll be fine. As previously said, the sugar and preservatives will keep them for another few days. Tuck in and enjoy.0

It's a crime to throw food away, especially when it's a 'spesh' bargain!
Do the sight/smell/taste test and if you think they're ok, heat them up with a bit of custard or cream and enjoy! Them being 4 days out of date wouldn't stop me and I'm 5 months pregnant! They're only pastry and apples at the end of the day, and the worst that'll happen is they'll go a bit stale I would think. Apparently the manufacturers put their best before dates artificially short to encourage the consumer to eat food quicker or throw it away, but it's only a best before date, not a 'it'll kill you if you eat it after this date'!Life is what you make it. Always has been, always will be

Hi
I have just found a tupperware of cooked lamb that was cooked last saturday night and has been in the bottom of the fridge ever since....
i thought OH had eaten it all in sandwiches.... he said he did
I have sniffed it and tasted it - BUT it was cooked as a leg of lamb with a morrocan spice rub and all i can smell / taste is the spices...
I could give it to the dog - so it would not be wasted completely....
- would you eat it ? If we do eat it - it will be made into shepherds pie so will be reheated....

I personally wouldn't eat it after 9 days I tend to have a three day rule of thumb with cooked meat.0

No deffently not. Put it in the bin. I wouldn't give it to the dog either

my instincts are saying no - but I suspect most cooked meats you buy in the shops have been cooked longer than 9 days ago....People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

definitely not. No question0

Not unless you fancy getting to know your toilet rather well or even the hospitals toilet! I wouldn't even give it to the dog.0
