I'd eat it, not give it to the dog
It'll be fine, enjoy xBon App's Scraps!MFb40 # 130 -
I'd eat it, if it smelled fine once defrosted.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

I'm ashamed to confess that I've found odd bits of fish or meat this old in my freezer occasionally and they've been fine when cooked so I certainly wouldn't give it to the dog. If it's a little frosted, coat it perhaps with a parsley sauce or a lemon sauce made with a chicken stock cube, a little cornflour and a good squeeze of lemon juice.0

Thank goodness for that - I thought from the title that you dog had tried to eat the salmon:rotfl:
It may not be as good as fresh, but it won;t be a health hazard

Well you could always share, you know. Poor dog...his fancy dinner whisked away and eaten in front of him by the people who are supposed to love him?At least give him a few scraps!

my MIL and her mother regularly ate fish that had been in the freezer for more than 10years:eek::eek::eek::eek: and they came to no harm at all.
I once wanted a tin of evaporated milk for a recipe and hubby said "i get one from my gran , she's always got stuff like that in the pantry cupboard" ....... and he did ......I looked at the label on the tin and I thought to myself ...hmmmm asd* havent had labels like that for years?
I looked on the bottom and the bb date was sept 1982 (it was 2007 at the time).....nevertheless I just had to know if it was ok , so I opened it ..... it had almost solidified and had turned a rather unappetising brown colour .....so I decided not to use it.:rotfl::D

Moonpixie - hahahhahah..now they call that dulce de leche and charge double
ps the dog is getting 1/3. In case he's still peckish after his leftover roast dinner. And windfall apples (4). And slice of banana bread with butter (pilfered from my plate). And garden glove.
Bon appetit!

I got to large a joint of pork, had it as roast dinner yesterday, having cold with chips today and was thinking of the left overs tomorrow as either a sweet and sour or something like a cottage pie. Problem is I'm got this niggling voice in my head saying you shouldn't reheat pork, yet I'm sure my gran use to use left over roasts in stews and pies etc. Does anyone know if it is safe to reheat pork?
