Yes definitely, cook them and either eat them straight away or make into casserole/pie etc and freeze that.0

Mornings !:j
If defrosting a whole chicken, i would tend to leave it out at room temperature overnight, then put in the fridge in the morning. Check smell etc - and go with your instincts
I'll add this to the food safety thread later:A

Thanks all. I've cooked the chicken pieces and i'm eating a drumstick now and it's lovely (but free or cheap food always tastes better).0

Sorry about this folks - I steamed some potatoes last night, but left them on top of the hob all night instead of putting them in the fridge. Are they safe to eat? I did steam some broccoli and carrot with them, but I ate them straight away .... should I chuck them cos of food poisoning, or what?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I've done the same and eaten them with no problem. Just make sure when you reheat them, to make sure they're hot all the way through.0
