It has started to ferment, natural yeast has got into the process soemwhere, its all around us. Certainly don't use it to start more yog and I wouldn't eat it.

A friend of mine was telling me about a pasta dish she has started making pasta, philly (or supermarket own) bacon and leeks.

Now I have over the years had loads of pasta recipes, but seem to have forgotten them for one reason or another and could do with some more inspiration.

As I am always on some diet or other! I would rather they weren't white/ cheese sauce based, but although I welcome tomato sauce based would like a balance.

So throw your favourite pasta recipes at me and we'll see if they stick to the ceiling!!

Easiest....... spaghetti, once cooked mix some fresh washed spinach through. Some low-fat philly type of light cream. Some parmesan (strong so you don't need much) lots of fresh black pepper.
This is a fave with all the family and takes 10 mins max.

Does anyone have any uses for low fat fromage frais and pasta? Can it literally just be stirred in before serving? :)

I didn't check if Squeaky's link had this but one of the simplest pasta dishes is pesto pasta. cook pasta, drain and stir through a spoon of pesto (green or red). For a creamier version, also stir through some plain yoghurt, creme fraiche, double or whipping cream.

Depending on what leftovers are lurking around we may add cooked and shredded chicken or tinned tuna to this or even some parmesan or other cheese.

    good luck.

I have bacon pesto pasta. It's one of my very favourites! Here's a new one to me, but it's delicious.

    Tomato and Basil Gnocchi

500g gnocchi, 300g-500 pasta sauce with extra garlic and onion, 2-3 slices of bacon, some fresh basil, half a ball of mozzarella.

Cook gnocchi according to packet, fry the bacon in a saucepan, when cooked, add the sauce to warm through. Mix gnocci and pasta sauce and some torn up basil leaves. Top with cubes of mozerella (just over half a ball) and grill for erm, 5-10 minutes till the cheese has melted and gone all gooey.

My husband made this for me the other week and I nearly married him all over again!
