It also depends how it was stored. Frozen will almost definitely be alright, plus one kept in an extra cold fridge.0

Hi newgirly,
As you've now eaten the curry I've added your thread to the Quick questions on food saftey thread as the advice you were given may help others.

Hi all,
I thought I would pop in and see if you could answer a quick question.
I made a goats cheese and onion tart on Saturday but only needed half of the egg and cream mix and thought I would make another tart with it once I got round to making more pastry. Except I still haven't made the pastry what with work and Easter Sunday/ Monday etc and the egg yolk and cream mix is still sat in the fridge  as are two egg whites.
They are covered but my question is.....would you still use them or shall I heartbreakingly chuck them?
Thanks

Hmmm... give it a sniff and see if it smells off... would be such a shame to chuck it.0

It seems to be fine and hasn't separated. I can knock up another tart tomorrow as I'm off but don't want to kill us especially as my DS is only 18 months0

I am sure loads of people will tell you to use your senses etc but for me after 4 days in the fridge and considering the ingredients i would bin it:o. Not what you wanted to hear, i know!
Ill merge this with food safety later.
ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
