Freeze it and give it a good stir when you defrost:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
i've got a ham on bone joint that was meant to be used yesterday
i've sliced the meat off and it looks/smells ok is it still ok to eat today/tommorrow or should i throw it? thanks
Don't throw it. It should be fine to eat today or tomorrow if it's been kept properly refrigerated. The other option is to freeze the meat in small chunks/portions, and use in lentil soup, in cheese & pasta sauce, in a savoury macaroni cheese with mixed vegs such as mushrooms, onions, peppers, or put into a pastry case for a cheese & ham quiche, or use in cheese and ham jacket potatoes.0 -
Hi,
I have some unopened lemon & coriander hummous in the fridge with a best before date of 23 Dec. Can I eat it?0 -
I wouldn't eat it. I ate 4 days out of date roasted red pepper houmous once and it was the foulest most bitter taste ever! Took me months before I could face eating houmous again.Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190

I wouldn't eat it either. I still have nightmares of when DH ate some out of date houmous...0

Personally I would open it and check, expecting to find it edible, as it is unopened.
Or you could give it away https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2957962 :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
