Even opened Hummus will last at least a week in the fridge. As for going fizzy. If I have to throw any away it is because it has gone mouldy.
Foolish to throw it away without checking to see if it is OK. If it has 'gone off' you will know.0 -
I agree that you'll soon know when you open it - in fact if you look at OOD hoummus sometimes you can see the bubbles in it where it's started to ferment! :rotfl:0

I'd agree try it as you will know by taste if its no good. I don't look at use by dates just go by what tastes/smells off!0

I often eat out of date hummus (I get it cheap in the chiller cabinet and eat it over the next two or three days). Simple rule, if it tastes okay, it probably is okay.
Having said that this is about 10 days out of date - even I wouldn't go that far!!!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
eeep??? have you been in my fridge? lol!
I opened mine (also lemon and coriander, also 23 dec) and it was foul, but at least I tried :rotfl::rotfl:
