My email arrived last night as follows:-
Between the 24th December 2010 and January 4th 2011 due to an inputting error the product that you ordered (Spa Break for 2) was incorrectly priced on our website
Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occasionally occur. In this instance we are unable to honour your order as per our terms and conditions but as an acknowledgment of our error we would like to give you the opportunity to buy the product at a discount of 25% off the correct selling price of £450. If you wish to take up this offer then please call us on 0844 822 2321.
As a further way of our apology we will be applying a credit of £50 to your account which you can use against your next purchase.

Ok ... I take it all back :rotfl: Email received from Very at 8.31pm tonight offering 25% off and £50 gift card. A most satisfactory outcome and as Very are obviously still monitoring this thread then a special thanks to them :beer:
I hope Additions Direct are too then! I have an account with Very but couldn't order through them it kept 'hanging'. I went through AD in the end and no email yet.
I have emailed them though so l'll keep you posted.
BTW Additions Direct, the link from your website to email you doesn't work the enquiries@additionsdirect one!!! :mad:

I ordered 2 spa breaks and received one email (above) a few days ago. I emailed to ask if refunds had been made as my son paid on his card and i couldn't check. Also asked if £50 credit would be applied.
Just received a mail saying accounts adjusted in 28 days and refunds will be processed. No useful info at all:mad:
So ended up phoning just now.
Advisor confirmed refunds have been made. Good.
Asked about the £50...no record of this and could I forward the email to queries@very.co.uk to ask them to look into.
I also asked why I had an account as hadn't applied for one, but she said cash account only.

I emailed them on Saturday asking when the credit will be applied to my account and here's the reply I just received:
Dear X,
Thanks for emailing us about the Virgin experience day credit.
I am pleased to confirm that your account will be adjusted within 5 working days and you will see this on your next statement.
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused and look forward to you shopping with https://www.additionsdirect.co.uk again soon.

Hi all,
Sorry about not replying over the last few days. We have been closely monitoring this thread and others too but we have been awaiting confirmation of what is going to happen/how many accounts have been affected. Just thought I'd come back and clear a few things up as to what we have all been advised so far:
· We have already contacted the vast majority of people individually via email however they're may be a few customers still left to inform. We are working hard to notify all of our customers but Everyone will be contacted eventually.
· Everyone who has had their original orders cancelled due to the mis-pricing error will be receiving £50. If you have a credit account with us this will automatically be applied to your credit account.
This £50 is applied per account, not per order.
· If you have ordered and paid at the time through either Very or Additions, each customer will receive a gift card with £50 pre-loaded onto it to use on either website.
· If you have ordered and paid at the time through Littlewoods, Great Universal, Empire Stores, Kays, Marshall Ward, Choice or Woolworths you will receive a £50 cash refund.
· Everyone who had their orders cancelled will also be given the opportunity to purchase their selected Virgin Experience
Day(s) with 25% taken off the correct cash price.
Once again, please accept my apologies in regards to the issues we have all had regarding this error. Hopefully the information above clarifies the goodwill gestures we have agreed to offer all of our customers affected by this.
