Not really directed at anybody in particular.
I'm just fascinated by the behaviour.
Some people seem to be incredibly impatient when we know there is a manual process to follow for 35,000 orders.
Although it was their fault, they don't have an army of vounteers on standby to work the weekends and overnight. It's just going to take some time.
I don't understand the "inconvenience" of having money taken that you were expecting to be taken with the exception of a tiny minority that might have have an iminent birthday and have had to pay for a reaplcement present as well. The vast majority bought these because they were cheap either as a treat or for a future event.
The inconvenience of checking websites and emails every 3 minutes, is purely self-inflicted.
Why not wait two weeks and then start to get agitated.
I'm just fascinated by the behaviour, that's all.
Yes sure Very have made mistakes and not particularly handled it very well, but they are humans that make mistakes - big deal, it's not life and death is it. Only dissapointment which many people expected and warned others about. There were widespread warnings on this for people NOT to get their hopes up too high.
If people really feel it's a massive inconvenience and massive amount of stress then they shouldn't get involved in something that was clearly dodgy from the start.
thanks lisyloo but youve basically said all this 10000 times before on this thread so its becoming spam now...... i think people are annoyed at the way very handled it. if some people are getting gift cards and some people arent then it will annoy people. if some people arent having their complaints listened to its a bloody inconvinience to ring up to ask for a refund (and if you ring up and threaten legal action then they take you more seriously and refund it straight away!".. the whole company is a sham. they have handled it VERY bad and this isnt the first mis-price so its hard to give them any credit, this happens FAR too often on very compared to other sites who have mis prices, thats the difference and why this one is a more inconvinience than others. once this company has messed up your order multiple times in a few weeks as this one has done to many it starts to become a bigger problem as you always have this shoddy company handling your money for longer than needed!
& some people need to take the risk for things like presents, sometimes its an oppotunity not to miss and its up to them if they should buy or not, its not up to you to judge how they react because im sure many people will feel that its too good to miss so will take the plunge. and im sure they dont expect very to take so
long to sort their 10000th mess out!

Why do you guys feel really inconvenienced?
Sarcasm from me:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Anyone spoke to very I have had the email but when do we actually get the credit? and was it 25%of or 25% off?0

I was prepared to wait for my refund and to be fair it has not taken very long, paid on 6/1 refunded 9/1 so not a major inconvenience.
However, I do think the fact that Very have not done as they said and contacted me personally is bad customer service though. Similarly, why have I had no gesture of goodwill? It is inconsisent and unlikely to endear them to those of us who have been treated differently from others.0 -
I think all who ordered and did not close account after the glitch was stopped will probably get a refund. I think the customer service department probably works with skeleton staff at the weekend so they will resume again tomorrow. So if yo have not received it hang fire Im sure you willNew to comping 11/2/2013

Lisylou - The voice of reason sensibility. I especially like the bit about 'refund delays'. Whining about them still having money that you would have GLADLY missed if the package had dropped on your doorstep on Friday stinks of sour grapes to me. And it isn't like spam to keep repeating this sentiment - it seems that some need it repeating. £60 for 2 to go to Paris with all the trimmings? Blatant misprice - couldn't possibly have been anything else.
Anyway, I haven't received my email, and I ordered at 11.12am. Like all glitches, if i get one, great - if not, then I won't be losing any sleep. Isn't that the whole point of glitches?
Rolll on the next 'bargain'. I already have 2 Xmas 2011 gifts in my wardrobe courtesy of the fabulous glitch and bargain posters here. I only wish I could find some to show off to folks!
In gratitude......

you are missing the point crystaltipps... the refund thing is a matter yes but what is more annoying is HOW very have so many misprices and mess up SO many times... there was more than 1 mis price on the experience days, the cussions a few weeks ago were also on this site and also some of the people who ordered the cabinets have had their orders cancelled and the price put up nearly double. its the whole company which is an issue, not just the fact they are refunding late. its also bad how they treat each person differently, its a sham that they dont make it clear what their plan of action is, some people are getting e mails with sorry discounts some arent. whats the difference between one person and another? if they are going to give £50 sorry vouchers to people for their mess up ALL the people that they messed up to on that mis price should receive because otherwise it just isnt fair. i am more than happy to accept glitches when they happen, the first time it happened to me with very i accepted it and moved on, second and third time, its becoming a bit annoying now because each time they never know what to do...Who would say I couldn't make you mine? You were mine since th' beginning of time. Who would say we were far apart? You ever reside in the core of my heart?

I don't think I am missing the point.
If they are notoriously and (seemingly to you at least, yummy mummy) annoyingly bad at handling these errors/glitches/bargains then why keep going back for more...once bitten etc.
'i am more than happy to accept glitches when they happen, the first time it happened to me with very i accepted it and moved on, second and third time, its becoming a bit annoying now because each time they never know what to do... '
If you know they are bad why go back for more? Was it because of the hope you would get the deal? (Like the rest of us!)
I still stand by Lisylou's comment being one of the more sensible on this thread of late. But of course, the beauty of a democratic country is that we are all allowed our own opinion.
Best wishes. And happy bargain hunting to all. xxx"Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." Aldous Huxley.
