i still haven't received my gift card either. emailed them and i was sent a replacement 2 days ago...we'll see if that arrives....
ultimatestirrer, i believe you'll only receive 1 £50 gift card. if you did 2 sepearte orders but on the same account, then that should be the case. this was stated by chris from very. i received 4 emails from them...realistically, i knew i wasn't going to receive £200.
also, are these gift cards linked to your account? i.e. is the recipient the only person who can use it? i'm asking just in case my 1st gift card got lost in the post and someone could have potentially used it.are they sent recorded delivery?

Hi Karlie88, I have submitted the claim for both cards as they sent two seperate emails, one for each order, offering the compensation.
I will keep you updated on the progress of the claim, as far as I am concerned with two seperate offers of compensation for two different orders then it should be two cards with £50 on each.

I am really ticked off with Very. Decided to use that gift card yesterday and so placed an order totalling £58 on the website, using the account details I had bought the balloon trip with. Although I had requested this account be closed I could still log in etc so as it was a 'cash' transaction I went ahead and used the card, paying £8 difference by debit card.
Got a phone call from Very 20 mins later telling me the credit account was closed and the order couldnt be fulfilled, but offering me the chance to place the order over the phone. After putting me through to someone else to do this I was told they werent sure if the gift card could be used on a cash account and told me to re-opena credit account, which I said OK to (as I wanted to use the card!). Took all my details then told me I had been refused for a credit account (!!! even though they had given me one fine when I placed the balloon order!!) and then proceeded to try and order using a cash account.
I was then told I couldnt use the card over the phone (sigh) and the guy told me he would work a way round it.
His solution was for me to pay the whole £58 by debit card and they would refund me £50 back onto my card so that I still got my £50 credit. So I paid, and then he said he couldnt do the refund straight away (due to some technical difficulty - yeah right..) so he would do it later that night or when he came into work today.
So this afternoon I ring Very to confirm this has been done. I ask for the guy I spoke to by name, but guess what, they dont know him. I explain what happened to the girl and she said she would find out if the refund had been done, then comes back and says they have credited £50 to my cash account, NOT my debit card!
What use is that to me??? I need the money replacing in my bank!!
Told her this, she promises to sort it out and ring me straight back. That was a few hours ago.
VERY you had better sort this out or I will be sending you any bank charges I incur due to that money not being in my account. Either that or I will send my starving children round to your office and YOU can feed them.Please God, help me stop spending!0
