Just spent two hours on the phone with Very on their 0844 line...costing me a lot.
Used gift card and my account was rejected. (since it was a new cash account)and order was cancelled.
Gift card hence was rendered useless.
Although I'm grateful for the gift card, I had a nightmare of a time to talk to you guys about this.
I don't understand, when you placed the original order and used a card on their website it should have already set up a 'cash account', no need to be accepted/rejected, just 'pay as you go' on any other website. The letter with the giftcard detailed how to use it online so no need to phone up???0 -

great customer service will deficiently be using you company more often. As mentioned in other threads I took a chance the paris trip would be honoured I would of been ok with a polite cancellation email but the £50 credit was fab. well done very0 -

I knew how to use the card properly, it's just that my "first" purchase as a cash account got held back for some reason, I rang up and they told me to try again and they will cancel the existing (first) order... etc six orders and cancellations later it was finally shipped but without the use of the gift card.
They said that they will refund me the money thereafter.0 -

I had mine despatched on the 3rd, it still hasn't arrived. Not sure if contacting Marshall Ward is a good idea or not, I ordered a couple of days before the mistake was discovered, so not sure how they could have cancelled them. I'm hoping Royal Mail is very slow, and it will arrive!

If anyone has had any luck with the gift experiences can they please let me know. I have been told by Marshall Ward that they have refunded me as they have been lost in the post. I asked about re-ordering, first they said they were no longer available, then that I would have to order at the current price. After much debate with her manager, she then says that the order was never sent out due to a price error. I did say that it had been despatched but she wouldn't listen. Offered me 25% off only, no gift card. Really upset as I ordered before I even discovered it was a price error on this thread.:( If the Very representative is still about could he please get in touch as I'm not having any luck with Marshall Ward.0

Email them on socialmedia@shopdirect.com. Mine arrived this morning, it was honoured as it showed despatched :-). They had to reorder at full price then credited my credit account with the difference.0
