Hi all just thought i would pop in and say hi all going well expect I feel so tired why is that? going to bed normally and getting up normally just knackered hope that disappears, at a funeral yesterday and lots smoking around me and to be honest it made feel sick the smell hope that feeling keeps up lol so i dont go back this time.
Keep up the good work everyone!
i remember during my last quit being knackered for a fair bit. maybe change your pattern for a while rest is good for you, think of the extra mins you have through the day not consumed by having to go for a ciggie
well done for managing stressful event , you're doing brilliantly:T
am only on first day this time at ten days you are no smoking champ as far as i'm concerned!0 -

Well done! I am finding the smell makes me feel really, really sick.
Have a look at the http://whyquit.com/ site.............explains a lot of things............scary, but very effective!

Hello Everyone,
This month I have been quit for 18 months! I originally wrote on this thread right back at the beginning when I'd only stopped! For those of you faltering or struggling please continue! It is soooooooo worth it to feel healthier, have a healthy skin tone, be more active, not smell of fag, wake up and not hear your laboured breathing!
I quit using Champix, put on weight due to picking, joined the gym and lost it all and got quite defined and more importantly could run again for quite a distance without wheezing!!
What kept me from having "just the one" was the fact that in my twenties when I last quit that "one" led onto another 10 years as a smoker!!
Keep up the good work everyone. It really is worth it!

hi there , maybe with having a funeral to attend has not given you the quality of sleep you need plenty of exercise as promoted by our lovely Sue-uu will certainly help if you can manage it , you are doing great though :THello Everyone,

cheers for that post Stupotstu , it is lovely to hear from long term freedom fighters and so true about having the " just the one "
well it has been 2 months 1 week and 6 days for me , time shoving in and i must admit has gone rather quickly this last 4 weeks , having the unusual milder weather has given me lots of opportunity to get outside , hardly been still, also the local commuity centre has put on more classes so that keeps my evenings busy too rather than letting my hand stray to the bag of maltesers i am in the gym circuit training , spinning or trying my hand at zumba ( very poorly co ordinated though)
have a super day one and all

Compared to the first two weeks I can now feel the days racing along again. Wow, it's Friday already tomorrow and another weekend on the way.
Strange things are happening, energy levels are getting back to normal and I've been looking at websites and downloaded some podcasts about interval training tonight. How the heck did that happen? It's been a long time since I ever had any thoughts about running anywhere. :rotfl:
I went and got my repeat prescription for patches today as we near the end of the four weeks, although I'm not sure that I will use them. I'm kind of in a quandry on where to go from here - I might stick to the halves for a while longer whilst I am feeling so good and review the situation after the weekend.
Good luck Sally with the bubs, wishing you all the best in case you have to rush off suddenly.Mortgage

Its now over 4 months with a little help from champix .( only stayed on it for 8 weeks as made me feel a little ill ) I was a 30-40 a day for over 40years person. . I still have 50 ciggies sitting right beside me on the desk . I have felt so tempted to take one , but I have resisted . I feel that if they are sitting there , then its my choice whether I smoke or not .
Something strange has been happening for the last 10 days or so in that I can smell a bonfire or burning most of the time . No one else can smell it and it goes with me wherever I go. Its driving me crazy . Has anyone else experenced this when giving up smoking or is this totally unconnected.Never pay more than you have too0 -
Hi all, what is Champix? Patches working well today. I don't feel like I need a ciggie - day 3 on patches and first day I don't want to give in, getting there slowly.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. Its my baby due date tomorrow - so thought I would update my stats in case (fingers crossed) she comes! Hehe - Wishful thinking I know!
£284.54 saved
1142 cigs not smoked
3days 23 hours 10 mins of my life saved
WOW - its the 1142 cigs that gets me everytime! How scary is that!
The money saved I kept saying I have done nothing with it. IE. Its just stayed in my account, however thats not true - I will be debt free in 2 months AND in 3 months I have saved £1250!! That is AMAZING for me as I have not been debt free since I was 18! I walked into the bank at 18 and was handed a 10k loan, and each year upped it, then discovered credit cards etc...now I have £800 or so debt! That is AMAZING! Seriously!
Anyway - enough about me - well done everyone and well done for coming back and posting
If I do go missing for days on end - fingers crossed its because baby is here

Day 39 for me. Keep catching colds so I'm not sure I feel much better really, but I know it's doing me good.
Getting much easier now, just the odd moment when I 'want' a cigarette but it's just a mental thing rather than a craving.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
