That's really good needstochange. I usually do the housework with my mp3 player turned up, it really gets you moving. Nothing quite like belting a few tunes out when no one can hear you. I think people would pay me to stop though, lol.

The transformation has been a bit hit and miss but once I found a way to loose the weight and stop smoking that actually suited my body and lifestyle it was surprisingly easy. Though I got through quite a few methods for both before finding the right one.

I notice you quit in Feb that's really good going

  • I gave up smoking over three years ago - I know I don't believe it but it was easy. Well not easy but certainly no where near as difficult as I thought.
Well three years on - yes, I had to check the time since its no longer even a thought that enters my head. Here's a post that I posted three years back - if it sounds a little arrogant it's not supposed to, rather I hope it encourages people.

Just remember I was you three years back - doubting, anxious and not believing I could do it.

Never posted in this section before - but just searched Allen Carr and this thread came up.

Just a little background - the reason I was searching Allen Carr was I listened to his audiobook six weeks back and gave up - YES it was that simple. None of the ... 'I'm trying to give up' ..... 'I haven't had a cigarette since.....' ...... just I gave up - its in the past tense and I know I'll never smoke again. I know that sounds stupid and arrogant but I am honestly positive I will never smoke again.
I've just finished some stressful exams a day back and had a little time on my hands and realised that I've never craved/needed a cigarette since finishing his book, so decided to have a look at others experiences of his method.

This is not meant to sound conceited in any way - I'm just astounded that it was as easy as it was and hope that it may help others too. I'd smoked for 25 years - between 10-20 most days.

I listened to Allen Carr's audiobook via an MP3 player while walking and followed the instructions and found it EASY to give up - virtually not one pang of withdrawal.

I would highly recommend it to others - disbelieving? Yes I was too - even am now - hence the search on his name.

TRY IT - ITS CALLED THE EASY WAY AND I CAN VOUCH FOR IT BEING THE EASY WAY.

Apologies for sounding a little Evangelical

I hope you will have seen my PM about my latest thread, the link too. It would mean so much if you could pop your journey on there for the sake of others...to help them choose their way to quit without the use of hand-held devices.
