Hiya JD, good to see you and many congratulations on having reached the 2 month mark!!! :T:T:T BTW, from all you put here last night and all you put on the SPC4 thread....did you ever get to bed??!!!! :rotfl:Have a lovely and relaxing weekend. :)

Thanks for the info, Karb and congratulations on having stayed free for 32 days!!! That really is great. Keep up the strength and don't go back to dirty old habits - it just isn't worth it - and not at all MSE!!! ;)

Many congratulations on having got through a WHOLE week, maz!!! :T:T That is just amazing and I dearly hope it'll give you all you need to go forward and stay away from them altogether! You have done so very, very well.

Great news about getting through your 'moment' Penelope, you've come too far and are way to sensible to go back now! *Have a look at the post I put on about losing weight to sailorswife and Jennyo yesterday, it might just help shed a few pounds for you. Try and find an alternative to choccy...she says...hating that I too have a weakness for the ruddy stuff!! :( Are you sure the jeans haven't shrunk??? :rotfl: Congratulations on 4 WHOLE weeks free from the blessed things!!!!

Hello maccababe and a very warm welcome to you and to a smoke-free life to come! Please keep on coming here daily and rant and rave all you like, if it gets it out of your system then do it!!! Any tears, let them go, it's the only way and you'll really feel the benefits. If you want to scream, grab a pillow and scream into that!!! All the very best in quitting and staying quit, do if and do it for LIFE - YOURS!!!! I'll send you a PM, please read and re-read, there are some great tips to help.

Brilliant news about you both, xmercx!!!! :T:T You've achieved so much already - and look how delighted with yourselves you are! I can almost feel the pride coming off your post and it's a joy to see. Press on xmercx and breathe some really fresh air into those lungs and get all the much and rubbish out..gone..forever!!!! I feel so elated meself!!!! :j

Hi everyone and welcome to all the new folk. :hello::hello:

I've been missing for a couple of days, I think. BECAUSE I HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT SMOKING :j:j:j

Actually, I sort of thought about it once. I came out of the supermarket, loaded the car, returned the trolley and stood for a minute thinking "I've forgotten something. What is it?"

It was having a cig on the way back to the car! ;). Anyone who saw me with a big sappy grin on my face must have thought I was mad.:T:T

I've also suddenly got a burst of energy :j:j Part of that is because I've started taking multi-vitamins - by some peculiar lateral thinking, I'm thinking it is worth taking more care of myself now that I'm smoke free. :D Another part of it is that I'm quite proud of myself. :j:beer::j

It's lovely to see so many new people here on the road to freedom. To those struggling through the first few days, try not to think of it as 'hell week'. I loved the description of it on whyquit.com "Glory week". Every temptation, every pang, every habit broken is leading you to glory. :T:T

TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT :T:T

PS Maccababe. I'll see your 30 years and raise you 50! If I can do it, anyone can! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

    Hi,
better day with fewer cravings :D
Maccababe, that sounds so familiar except that I have 12 + years on you. Do not spend your 12+ years the way that I did. I do not even want think about how much I spent on cigarettes & anti-smoking measures. Good luck, it can be done.

Well done on some good deeds done, JD. Did you see my message (a question really) on SPC 4?? Could do with your help for nu1isit?, if possible? Thanks JD.

You're doing just great Ads, over a week gone already!!! :j

Hi wannabie and well done in nearly not smoking for over a year, but do be very, very careful of having "the odd puff at a rare party" it could be your undoing of that great record IF you take such risks.

Well done Sally! What a great amount of time passed by and now you're.....3 WHOLE weeks free from fags!!!! :T:T Congratulations to you!

Good to see you, Tricia and brilliant news of 5 weeks and 3 days!! :T:T Very well done indeed!!! I love the sounds of the first week being regarded as "Glory week", sums it up perfectly! You saying thinking "I've forgotten something. What is it?" is exactly how I used to feel and it takes a few seconds for it to click as to what it is, but what a great feeling when you find you just don't need IT anyway - GREAT!!! ;) Why not take the multi-vitamins, you've looked after yourself in quitting so why not in a general way. Keep as healthy as you can....and why not be quite proud of yourself, you have sooo much to be extremely proud of. Well done!

Well done on another wonderful day, sheep-ali and some excellent words of wisdom passed on to maccababe. :T:T A good sign of being well on your way!!!;)

It's really wonderful to see everyone so very happy with all they're achieving, the realisation that you too CAN do it is a great sight to witness. I couldn't be happier for you ALL.

  • many thanks for your support one and all.

just posting before the big day after grappling the laptop off my son and having a cry at Juno. have my bobo cigarette ready and waiting and that is it. come tomorrow, daphne dog won't know what's hit her, nor will anyone else for that matter.

must remember to steer clear of the custard creams and food generally. last time i stopped smoking my mum's helpful comment was that i could stand to lose a few pounds, grrrrrrrr.

once again thank you all for your support. good luck everyone.
Not massively in debt, but possibly heading there!
