Ha ha that made me laugh. The funny thing is I feel totally fine now, no cravings or anything. Just this morning everything sent me into a rage lol Did anyone else ever get like that? Over really stupid things that normally wouldn't make you snap peoples heads off.Smoke free since 19/01/110

Got my prescription, so I am back on track hopefully.
That said, I have just had my dinner & I am wondering what I can eat!0 -
I've been eating more than usual too - although I am happy with the weight I am and won't be putting on no weight since leaving "nick" so I'm sticking to steamed veg, fruit & rocket lollies from Tesco when I get peckish in between usual mealsSmoke free since 19/01/110

Don't worry Ads, you're no different than the majority of us really, we all have shortfallings where annoying things get to us more on one day than another. It feels as though it's you no doubt as
a/ you're quitting and vulnerable
and
b/ you were in your place of work, it makes a heck of a difference; if my DH was sat here eating crisps or breathing like Darf Vader whilst I'm doing this post to you, I'd be spitting nails - and I gave up 12 years ago!!!You're normal, Ads!
Aha...now the truth outs, sheep-ali! No wonder you were as you were this morning if your if your OH is still smoking!! I hope for you sake that he's smoking outside!! I was so pleased to hear you've now got your prescription, well done. You're doing really well sheep-ali, but why not take a tip from Ads (Det Dawson) and use something like his Tesco rocket lollies or get some Ice Poles/Pops, they really will help as it provides something to such at and is long-lasting. Eating apples or peeling and eating oranges at times when you feel as though you're hungry again. Don't eat fattening things if you can avoid it.....having said that if it helps you with quitting to eat for the short term then do so - but - make yourself a promise to do all you can to get it off asap. You can get plenty of exercise though!
I think you stand more chance this time round, elfen as with both of you quitting you can help and support each other through it; it'll strengthen your relationship too! You can do it this time elfen, there's much to work towards with marriage ahead some day! Best wishes to you both.
Thanks for the answer, Ross, not absolutely vital - yet then. A real pest though I'm sure. Hope you either got or get the pills.
Onwards to another fresh day tomorrow then folk...a day further away from old Nick and a day closer to your journey's end. Keep battling everyone it's the best things you'll ever do and you'll benefit in so many ways! Wishing you ALL everything you wish for yourselves.

Day 20 champix
hi everyone
I told my mum yesterday that I had stopped smoking, think she was amazed as she never thought I would. Db wedding is going ahead on friday, so tomorrow need to pack case & do ironing. At least on the journey up I won't be nagging dh to stop at services.
Someone mentioned feeling sick whilst taking champix, I found I was better if I take them with or just after food. Also as I was approaching my quit date every time I smoked it made me feel sick too so ended up not bothering most of the time.
Well done to everyone on here, still find it very motivating. Not really noticed the extra money yet with all the extra expense of school trips and wedding, but hope to soon. Not noticed any major cravings but I'm still drinking loads of cranberry juice, prefer it to the hard water here(it's foul).0 -

Mind you I seem to be like that at some time every day at the moment. OH says I am like that whether I am smoking or not:rotfl: Not that he is much help as he is still smoking:(
Got my prescription, so I am back on track hopefully.

Jammy Dodger that gave me a laugh!
Det and Sheep-Ali I have 2 theories about this temper malarky.
First is that if we were annoyed when we smoked, we grabbed our cigs and sloped off for a quick smoke to 'calm down'. We know now that the cig didn't calm us but the few minutes break from the situation did calm us. We have to learn the non-smoker's trick of 'counting to ten' or walking a way for a break.
The other theory is that we blame EVERYTHING on our quit  I'm cross - it's the quit. I'm hungry - it's the quit. I broke my fingernail - it's the quit! You get the picture?;)
Well done, TopsyTurphy I didn't tell anyone at all. My DH surely must have noticed but he's keeping quiet - probably afraid of getting his head bitten off :rotfl::rotfl:
Welcome back Elfen I'm firmly in the camp that believes you can only quit when the time is right. Keep posting here and we'll cheer every milestone.:T
Kiwi My sympathies for the parking tickets. That's a real bummer:( Can you set a timer so you know when to pop out?
Sympathies Ross on the hip problem. I got a brand new one three years ago but still remember the pain.:(
I think I've mentioned everyone, except Sue  Hi, Sue. We do appreciate your help. :T:T Anyone I've missed, sorry. I'll no doubt catch up with you later.
All well here. Most of the time I don't even think about it now, though it's still at the back of my mind that if I have 1 puff, I'm doomed :eek:
I'm absolutely determined not to.
Pat yourselves on the back now and then, everyone. We're really doing a great job here. :j:j:beer::j:j
(But don't sue me when you dislocate your shoulder) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Hi topsyturphy, so pleased you're all off to the wedding. I hope your DB and his fiance have as wonderful a day as grief allows; though I'm sure he will be thrilled they are going ahead. Take care and congratulations on how far you've come. I'm delighted that your mum was so pleased for you..to the point of amazement even, but you've also proved to her (if it were necessary) that if you want something badly enough you can get it! My Mum told my hubby that I'd never be able to do it...and she never was pleased for me on knowing I had, though she had alzeimer's and maybe that stopped the message from getting through thoroughly. Have a good time, topsy and safe journeys both ways!
Morning Tricia, good to see you still clocking up the days and weeks! Well done indeed, you've come a long, long way already.:T:T
Off to town to get shopping now and hopefully have some changed left over for my Sealed Pot after!!
Be gentle on yourselves everyone...but firm enough to keep your journey going. Water, fruit, Ice Poles/Pops and exercise!

Well, I haven't spent any money on cigarettes...:oYou did it goodgirl and a PMs on it's way!! Well done.
The "chaps" thing is possibly me, our Dentist (a real cyclist) rode down the lane straight towards DH and I back last summer and as he passed he hollared out "thanks chaps!" I won't tell you what I could have hollared back!!!! Took me a while to get used to guys, yet now it's so natural.
Well done on another day closer goodgirl!
