Hey all, hope you're all managing to stick with it. It's almost the end of another day for me, no abnormalities to report, sleeping fine but it's not abnormal for me to wake a couple of times a night and I'm still terrified that Nasty Nic might start messing with my head when I do wake and I'm willing myself to get back to sleep asap.
Kiwi, you have now done the hard part.....when you wake up in the morning, you will have done 3 days smokefree, that means the nicotince will be out of our system, the physical addiction will end, unfortunately the psychological addiction carried on for a few more days, but you can do it, youhave done the hard part :T
Well done
Ross

Going for a run tonight - as I havent put on any weight but have wanted to diet as well and only lost half a pound last week - which is probably down to the giving up in the same week....but really gonna try and stick at the exercise and diet too.....

Afternoon, just a quick hello from work.
I've been eating healthily, and sipping water to the point I think i've flushed my kidneys numerous times.:p
I've chickened out of going to my friends tonight as they are smokers and think it'll be too tempting to soon, its common for us to have a glass of wine and a fag, so i've sent a message saying I'm going on the cross trainer instead.
Feeling okay, but then this is when the psychological addiction kicks in for me, cause i think if i can go a couple of days, what's the harm..................................then start again
I'll catch up later and have a look at silkquit, i think i want some stats like you lot!

20:26 I want a fag :-( just shouted at my little boy as well so feel bad for that, better go and make up or i won't forgive myself all night x0 -

was just about to log off for thre night then saw your edit maz
try not to be too hard on yourself it can be challenging the first 2 to 3 days and remeber your body is just reacting to having drug withdrawal take deep breathes nice n long and slow , keep in mind both for you and your family why ridding yourself of this life controling drug is gonna be so worth and put yourself back in control YOU are so much stronger than old nic you can do it
try and cosy in have a bath maybe and an earlier night stay possitive

Thanks Ross, I am on the patches so the nicotine will be with me for a while longer until I can wean myself off those. Somewhere between lunchtime and 5pm today I lost my patch  How embarrassing as I have no idea where it went.
Anyway all was fine until I got home and then I had a total meltdown. 'I've had enough! Can't do this!' tears and a whole tantrum scenario with things thrown on floor and banged around. Thankfully nobody else had to witness this or they might have got some verbal or worse they might have tried to calm me down with a fag.
I'm fine now apart from having spent all my energy getting angry and crying I am going to have a bath in a moment and put it behind me. I shall never know if it would have happened had I not lost the patch, so I will have to take a bit more care there and make sure I carry a spare one. I am not going to rush to wean myself off them after today's events.Mortgage
